The Colts have next to no talent on defense, they need a Sheard so they can at least try and stop somebody while they retool through the draft.

If he can play it is, he could easily be Mingo 2.

You don't lose much if anything making the trade it's pretty much low risk as it gets but you can still downgrade, no guarantees he's as good as Sheard, Carolina did just give him up for a ham sandwich.

Used to get pissed at these guys for walking away from the greatest franchise in sports for more money, but I've acclimated to the fact that...It all works out...For both sides. Pats get titles, guys get paid.
