That's really principled of you, Ian (wouldn't have expected otherwise). But let us know when you feel the time is ripe. (And I'd still love a way to have shorter posts take up less space and to have more posts per page! :))

Needs tapatalk or similar client. Not big fan of stripped down mobile sites (here and elsewhere) with iPhone.

If you have an iPhone or iPad and select send to home screen it will create an icon just like any other app you have. I actually like the mobile site better than Tapatalk and I was a big user of Tapatalk before.

I had that issue too. Had to switch browsers because on IE8, I would have to highlight the text just to see posts. I'm using IE9 on my work computer now and everything works great.

Any chance you can grab a screenshot of this? Tried with a few people now and I haven't been able to get one. Wish I could install it to figure out where the problem is, but it would be a little easier if I could visually see it...?

EDIT: I think I may have fixed it, so just let me know :)

Just feedback. Unlike the old platform where browser often lost its place the new forum takes me back to the last post every time. Looks better and is faster. Safari on a MAC.
Bring it, you masculine geek MAC bashers!

Had the same issue on the old forum and it works perfectly now. Even when roaming from device to device (work PC, MacBook, home laptop, iPhone).

I've been vocal here against this one new aspect of an otherwise great upgrade to the Board.

I think that your comment, though, is a reasonable one.

While my personal preference would be to stick with the prior rubric that only allowed positive feedback, I would be comfortable with a compromise that limited the feedback to "Agree" and "Disagree" or "Like" and "Dislike"...as long as it is not anonymous and the person who applies a negative rating is identified by name in the post itself and can't lurk.

However, I will continue to speak against the inclusion of "Dumb" or "Bad Spelling." While I am someone who is a fanatic about spelling and grammar (I spel and write good in three languages :) ) and who has been called many things, but never "Dumb," I just think that these categories are too "personal" and have the potential to change the tone of our community. I find a lot of comments out here that I think are "dumb," but I either just ignore them or reply on the facts; and I could spend all day dinging posts that had misspelled words or bad grammar.

I actually removed a bunch of them including the "dumb" one a couple of days ago, as well as the bad spelling, etc. Hopefully the ones we have work for everyone now

Wish you didn't remove "informative" because I was intending to use it every time I saw an intelligent post about football.

I took that one out because I left the "useful" icon - thought it was redundant. But I can re-activate it if you'd like. :)

They do seem redundant. I say activate one of them not both. People appear to like the "informative" one better.

"Useful" is more for technical issues and "informative" for Football related things IMO.

I have tried it on IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and mobile (using Chrome.) Works great on all of them, but I recently downloaded Opera and I love it. It's faster than all of the other browsers - not just the site, but in general. At least on Windows 8.
