Something that I've taken notice it on BBs staff.. as it's said you're only as good as the people you surround yourself with. Pelligrino the DBs coach for example.. he's a lacrosse player. What correlation does there have to being able to coach up DBs. It's just so many of BBs staff has those types of people. Outside of say Troy, klemm, yates, and mayo it's a wonder who on his coaching staff actually played the position they are coaching in.. I mentioned that because that is likely why so many position groups struggle. I agree 100% this is BBs roster, his staff, and everyone answers to him. As the HC/GM he is basically right under RK and JK for decisions. RK said yesterday he's never been 2-7. Guess he forgot about the 99-2000 season.Come on now. Bill picked this roster, so even if he tries to pin the failures on a player he is the guy who built the roster.
The Krafts aren’t dumb. They can see how bad this roster is. After a decade of bad drafting how do they sell the fan base that Bill comes back to re-start the rebuild?
The "Mac is the only problem" crowd can't see the forrest through the trees. The point is that the o-line didn't do their job in the first half. Triumph is trying to argue the talent around Mac is good with "two stud TEs" and an o-line that can't be "100% perfect on every play" to try to put all the blame on Mac and not accept with or without Mac, this offense would be a crap offense. It would just be varying degrees of crap depending on the QB.
I am not arguing Mac is bad because of the players around him. I am just arguing the players around Mac are as bad or possibly even worse than Mac.
I was looking at The Jets as I watched a boring ass Sunday night game and thought to myself...
This team has two more wins than us with an incredibly stupid QB.
So, no. I don't think that'd work.
Yet people rag on TomlinThe one that gets me is the Steelers are 6-3 with Kenny Pickett. I mean the Steelers have had four games where Pickett hasn't thrown a single TD and they won two of them. Pickett is awful and they keep on winning.
I used to think Tomlin was a bad coach and always thought he did "less with more" but I have done a complete 180 in the last few years. He has had everything from divas to straight up awful human beings in his locker room and managed to get the most out of 95% of them all while keeping the wheels from falling off. Tomlin now has the team at 6-3 with a young QB in year two of a rebuild.Yet people rag on Tomlin
Tomlin knew how to manage AB. Sorta. That counts for something....Yet people rag on Tomlin
Mayor of the assclown forumWeek 5. Right on schedule baby. Go smurf go!
And curse those refs for making him throw into quadruple coverage with his hilariously weak arm…
Agree to disagree. The point is that the o-line didn't do their job in the first half. making the best of the season would be continuing as is and leaving the next regime a high draft pickCould we ****ing fire Bill to avoid this ****? The OP makes a salient point. This is why teams don’t want a lame duck coach (and GM.) **** Bill’s “legacy.” The players should have a coach focused on making the best of the rest of the season and setting the table for the future.
Maybe the next coach will believe in fielding a punt returner?
No! Mac Jones is a major part of the problem for the offensive woes. The OL has been bad and the WR are eh, but most of Mac’s mistakes are on himself. My guess is Mac starts vs the Giants as BB believes he’s the best option @ QB to win.To save his job you don’t think it’s possible he will bench Mac Jones and try to make it seem like he couldn’t win with him? Or will Bill go down with the ship
I have immense respect for Tomlin now... I think he can get his players to play for him and something about him churns diamonds from stones as far as wide receivers are concerned.I used to think Tomlin was a bad coach and always thought he did "less with more" but I have done a complete 180 in the last few years. He has had everything from divas to straight up awful human beings in his locker room and managed to get the most out of 95% of them all while keeping the wheels from falling off. The team has sold out over 300 straight games. Tickets sellout within seconds of going on sale in the spring. So financially, I think he could get away with it.Come on now. Bill picked this roster, so even if he tries to pin the failures on a player he is the guy who built the roster.

Another thread that belongs in an assclown forum ...
Belichick has never spoke negatively about any player ...
He also has never painted by numbers ... always started Bob Ross.
I wonder how many SBs Triplin would have won if he had Brady for 20 years.Yet people rag on Tomlin

Agree to disagree.
JJSS was good last year. His knee isn't 100% yet, but he's still got something. Pop Douglas is good and electric. Gesicki and Henry are both good. Rham and Zeke are both good. Onwenu and Trent brown are good. Sow will be, but yeah, he's making rookie mistakes. Andrews is almost done, but a lot of teams would be happy to have him. Strange when healthy is good (and yes, i agree, his draft position was high).
The defense is VERY good, even missing Judon, Gonzo, Bentley (yesterday), Marcus Jones. They stymied the Colts running game, which is strong.
The Pats don't have a Devante Adams, a Gronk, a Tyreek Hill, agreed. But they have a lot of quality NFL players.
The QB makes it all go or not, and line of success/disaster is very thin. Also, as someone else pointed out, when the players have no faith in the QB, it completely cascades.
