Is Danny Amendola the next domino to fall?

OK.

But I would rather Gronk tweet once about his contract than hold out.

I agree. I do not want Gronk to hold out at all....just saying because of the culture and what little regard teams and players have for contracts he has the right to do so.

OK. Your posts on this stuff don't entirely track logically, but I'm sure that's true of everyone at times.

Maybe. Don't mean to. No issue with being called out on flip-flopping.

I view *****ing about a contract publicly and actually doing something about it differently. Just like Bob *****ing about being accused of deflating footballs and actually doing something about it.

Here's what's mind-blowing: a "white dude" like you who somehow think WRs like Edelman and Amendola (and probably Hogan, plus others including Gronk, Ninkovich, Brady, Stork, Voellmer, Solder, etc., etc.) are "disrespected" or inferior because of their race, or "don't look quite right." Other players are better because they're black? Seriously? I haven't seen any of these guys disqualified from the Pro Bowl because of skin color. Who is disrespecting them other than you and Deflate? How does that "disrespect" manifest? Please don't tell me you voted in the primary for Donald Trump.

You're an absolute loser. Total damn loser.

This isn't is complaining about racism. It's not racism, it's just stereotyping. Like I said, I understand it because more times than not, black athletes are superior athletes. Genetics.

You're turning this into US being racist? How pathetic of you. Why is it OK for minorities to play the race card, but when the tables are turned, the white man is STILL wrong?!?!

And again, I'm not complaining! It's just a fact. If Julian was black, he'd be widely considered one of the best WRs in the NFL. I don't see much of a difference between he and Antonio Brown, but since he looks different than all the other star receivers, and historically white receivers are not elite, we don't put Edelman in that class either.

Why do they compare all white receivers to each other?

You think Beasley is on Edelmans level? No way! But they look a like.

It's not "poor white man" or racism. It's just a stereotype that, again, I UNDERSTAND

Hockey, baseball, swimming, tennis, soccer, skiing, most Olympic events, UFC, MMA and volleyball say hello.

Thanks for making the "clear distinction" between stereotyping and racism. Because, you know, pushing stereotypes ain't racist. Nah. Good lord, wherever you got your education (assuming you have one) should be napalmed.

You were doing fine until you played the Trump card. The best way to take this thread down the sewer is by bringing your politics into the discussion.

You're the ones who keep bringing DA not being black into things, as though that were a factor here, as though BB ever gave flying **** about that in his life.

"Trump card" ... I get it! OK, at least I was doing well 'til then. Thanks. (I take it you're voting for the bozo.)

It doesn't matter who any of us do or don't support once someone introduces a political comment into any thread it gets a response, which gets more responses and the thread is pretty much ruined. This dynamic is exponentially worse in national election year's and the only way to keep this forum from ruin is for people to be diligent in keeping all political comment out of here.

Point taken. I unsuccessfully resisted the impulse to put my answer in topical context.

So true, and true in any forum anywhere on the internet about anything. Two people start going at it for dozens and dozens of posts...you wonder what they think will be accomplished. Certainly not anybody changing their mind about anything.

You are such a loser.

clearly you're liberal. Clearly you wanted to bring politics into it. So let's go!

You don't think racism is a two way street. You don't think it's possible for whites to be discriminated against. Even bringing up the "white receivers are treated differently" discussion somehow makes us look racist, even though we feel it's the over way around!

Bottom line, white males are evil, terrible humans and they are racist, even when they feel they've been a victim

Hopefully you don't have kids. If you do, well, I'll stop there. I won't say what I want to

Wow. A -lot- of projection there, buddy.

It doesn't take the introduction of politics to have a thread with two people going at it with dozens and dozens of posts, with zero chances of anyone's mind being changed. All one has to do is to introduce a thread on topics such as Amendola.

No, it's total BS

He had to go and bring politics into a discussion about sports.

He mad a much bigger deal about the white receiver comment.

He turned it into us being racist Trump supporters. WTF?

that being said, I want YOUR vote for ME, Joe Kerr for "King Of The United States"....if you do I promise some pot with every chicken, one free car wash and an autographed copy of my new hit best seller "The Moron Majority"...but moron on that later....

You are such a loser.
You are projecting. Regardless, perhaps we should leave your parents' regrettable admonitions out of this. There is no point.

clearly you're liberal.
Hah! Hardly. Shows how "clearly" you misperceive things.

Where the hell are you trying to take this? OF COURSE racism is a two-way street! That is why you, a self-proclaimed "white guy," are advised to re-think your bigoted nonsense touting black racial superiority in sports.

Bottom line, white males are evil, terrible humans and they are racist, even when they feel they've been a victim.

Speaking on behalf of myself and the forum at large, we applaud your decision to make discretion the better part of valor.

Uhhh black athletes are superior in a lot of sports.. That's fact and I am totally fine with it. It's genetics, lol

Not sure how that makes me racist.

Uhhh ... And white athletes are "superior" in a lot of sports as well. Are you totally fine with that "fact" too? (It's "genetic," after all.)

But this all began with you and the other numbskull disparaging the likes of Amendola for being Caucasian. That's just beyond moronic.
