That's thing you look back at things in this big picture lense and attribute BS that just doesn't exist.Stop caring is probably too harsh in fairness. I would say it would be he put his own personal needs over winning. In 2022, the best thing for this team especially if he didn't have faith in Mac Jones would have been to hire a top up and coming offensive mind who could either develop Mac or minimize liabilities. He chose to go with Matt Patricia because was comfortable for him whether it be that he was concerned that a hotshot OC would leave after a couple of years or might be a threat to his job or he just didn't want to work with someone he didn't know. But it was putting his needs over the needs of the team.
In 2022 off-season he was coming off the rookie year and Josh left. Bill decided to try something that worked for Brady by putting a defensive guy who could give him a different prospective. He way over played his hand by making him OC instead of just QB coach. I also think the emergency nature of Rhebein's passing left no opportunity for second guessing. It was just an unfortunate event.
You guys want to act like this was some sort of intentional thing done out of spite or something.
I've never pretended it was the right move but his motivations were with the best intent. Not some vengeful move to ruin Mac.
