Someone thinks he'd excel there
True story about Dan Orlovsky. When the Colts did Suck for Luck, they started Curtis Painter over him and they went 0-14. They locked up the #12 pick. Then they put in Orlovsky for the last 2 games. They went 2-0.

Now, MAYBE the players also deliberately tanked the whole season and then they played hard when they locked up the pick. But Curtis Painter was the worst QB I have ever seen in my life. He never played in the NFL again. Dan Orlovsky, meanwhile, went on to play another 6 years.

I'd love to have Dan Orlovsky as the starting QB of the Patriots.

lol

Dan Orlovsky wasn’t any better than Bailey Zappe

Orlovsky had a cannon for an arm. On that basis alone, he's better. Whenever he was a FA and available, teams signed him. Zappe? No interest.

Did not understand that pick. Felt like a luxury pick adding onto a position of strength within our team when we had gaping holes elsewhere. I don’t want this post to mean that I’m sh*tting on Mapu either.
3 shiny new toys on Defense at the top of the Draft despite gaping holes at OT, WR and 3rd Down Back.

better hope to get the number one overall pick. Work on getting your QB and OL and WR pieces. It’s gonna take at least 3 drafts and insane free agency signings to get this team to where it needs to be.

As mentioned upstream, Neon Deion is the answer. Think of how much fun that would be. Talk about culture shock.
Give Bill one more year and in the meantime talk with Deion. He probably doesn't want to leave CO after this year because he'll probably secure some of the top recruits in the country in his offseason.

When will the organization move on from Klemm, an utter disaster.

It would be fun but does he want to leave CO?

I think Robert and Bill should have a mutual parting of the ways AFTER the season.

As much as I loathe what I'm seeing on the field, Bill has enough historical pedigree to prevent him from a mid-season firing.

I also thought Orlovsky was the Colts QB when the Patriots somehow nearly blew a 31-3 4th quarter lead to his 2-14 Colts....

Looked it up... yes it was. Orlovsky somehow was 30-37 353 yards 2 TD and 1 pick. That 2011 Pats defense really was something...

Newton was a stopgap not a rebuild and stidham was a pick machine.
That said Zappe or Cunningham aren’t nfl caliber QBs either.
Who the heck is picking all those stiffs anyway?

I think Kraft owes it to the fans to do what's best for the T-E-A-M team, not what's best for Bill. If that means letting the new HC come in now then so be it. The greatest QB who ever played in the NYFL played for the Pats and If he didn't deserve preferential treatment because of his historical pedigree then neither does Bill.

I think in the offseason anything is fair game. I would have said that about Brady, too. In a lost season you don't bench or trade him, let him ride it out and then part ways (fortunately we never had to really consider benching him, and I'm gald they didn't trade him during the season either).

And while Kraft should do what is best for the T-E-A-M, ultimately he'll do what's best for the BRAND where it would look bad to 'do Bill dirty' after all he's done. But (and I think others have said this) if there are enough people out there such as yourself calling for his head where the court of public opinion sways more towards getting rid of him.....he's more apt to listen.

Trust me, I think Bill has run his course. He's old and we're almost a quarter of the way into the 21st century but he still wants to play 1960s football. In fact, I'm actually worried about his press conferences each week because I feel like he is embarrassing himself. His act of "I'll give the media nothing" was fun and comical when they were winning, but now he can't even pull that off successfully. he's rightfully getting grilled by the media and instead of him getting hte best of them, he is giving answers that just don't make sense or multiple answers wll contradict the others. The team right now is embarrassing on and off the field. But yes, even with all that being said, I have enough respect for what he's accomplished to endure another couple months of this.

He has stated repeatedly that he doesn't want to coach in the NFL. Now if I had a dime for every time a college coach lied, I'd be a millionaire, so take it for what it's worth....

Klemm the OL Coach synonymous with Klemm the former player.

I was going to say I just saw him in Argentina before you posted that link.
There are several good books / movies about that subject. Robert Ludlum wrote a couple good ones.
