If patriots lose out, Travis Hunter could be theirs

If Hunter has shutdown CB talent you take him. Imagine having 2 shutdown CBs and what impact that would have on the defense.
I agree with this as long as the offensive holes have been addressed. 2 shutdown CB's would give the DL more time to get apply pressure, both Gonza and Hunter can play press well.

Champ Bailey is the closest comp to Travis Hunter as far as playing DB and WR at a high level.

Ya count me in for a trade down where they still take Campbell at LT and then pick up the RT with the high second rounder they get in the deal.
Your plan for wide receiver?

This. The offense has been bad for 6 years and people want to waste the higher pick where we can get any non QB position in literal decades on secondary
We have the worst offensive talent in the past decade. Improve Maye’s weapons or prepare for another 5 win season

Unfortunately, none are available in free agency, Trade or this draft. We don't need it though, Maye makes the line better, you just need to upgrade the line to NFL average overall and that will be enough.

What we need are playmakers.
Finally a smart man

If Wolf does what all the Al Davis's want, and picks Hunter around #3, I'll boycott the team.

Please tell me this personnel staff has learned something this year - we need an overhaul in the trenches!
A top ranked OL will make average WR's & RB's look great. A top ranked DL wins games.

Don't waste a top draft pick on a WR or CB. Trade it for 2 1st round talents - and get a LT and a DE.
LOL …asinine

There aren’t any in this draft. And the tackles you can get later in the first are on the same level as the two top tackles. Simmons might be better than both of them.
I agree Ivan. There is no OT that screams out "draft me". Use the top pick on a WR or Corner. There are OT's further down the draft that are worth thinking about. Or of course FA. But don't waste a number one pick, on a none elite player. Yes Simmons Ohio State is worth a look at.

Highly agree. Is why I want to draft the LT and sign a guy in his 20s to grow along with Drake. We need playmakers at the s positions all around on this team. Adding at least 2 play makers at WR would allow this offense to really take off. Everyone else would be able to play to their talent level and have favorable match ups.

There is no tackle in college right now who holds top 10 value..passing on a pro bowl caliber WR with size would be disastrous for Mac’s development.

People are mentioning drafting Campbell at 3. Really? He’s a borderline guard who struggled vs South Carolina.

Maye can make plays with his feet…he needs a trust worthy Wr who can beat man coverage, who can score in the redzone, who can take over games with elite play. That’s what you draft at 3

You mean drakes development? Your right on this. But I'd still take a tackle ans develop him while having a veteran signed. You'd still have a compenent back up in lowe as that is all he should be. I believe we should be in on tut McMillan at WR. Draft him, sign Higgins and adding another guy like say steph Diggs.

Given their track record in the draft I'd prefer they trade down in the draft and select a half dozen receivers in rounds 5-7 and hope they hit on one. I'm both serious and joking at the same time. I have no faith in their picking the groceries so by doing it this way you get 6 lottery tickets for a buck instead of one up top for ten. Realistically I know that will never happen. I haven't looked at FA yet but that's an option.

Is Hunter that much better a WR than McMillan or Burden? Is Hunter that much better than a combination of Jeanty + a mid round LT?

If this guy is a once in a decade prospect then sure, go for it, otherwise, if we have the QB, it is time to use the capital to build high quality depth.

Hunter is all projection, his ceiling is much higher than either of those guys, specially with what he has done while splitting his time between WR/CB. But of the three is has the most ability to be a gamebreaker at WR.

McMillan is over rated because this class sucks, he is basically a possession receiver, doesn't have the gamebreaking ability I would want in the top 5....it is estimated he would have been at best the 4th WR taken last year, he is a back half of the 1st guy that is going to top 10 because of the draft he is in.

Burden, I don't know what to think about him this year, he lit CF on fire last year, but had a significant drop off this season.

Hunter is a very smart player with a great feel for space on the field as a wr. He is also a fantastic cb.

He would be the number 1 wr on the patriots and could play cb on 3rd downs.

So trade back? If this is what you were going to for, I completely agree given that there are not any OT's ranked in the top 10, imo. I would love a trade back but I am not sure that will be an option.

I could not get behind taking a OL in the top 5 this year.
Why trade back? If Joe Alt is staring you in the face… draft him.
