He's your best weapon..and if he's out there..you have to get him involved more no? They did nothing like this on Sunday. Would it have won us the game? Probably not...but why not get him more involved?

Brissett completed one pass to a WR all day.

Can't blame the loss on Brissett though, he didn't throw any interceptions - well... that fumble was ugly, and his field vision obviously could use some help. But for a rookie QB toughing it out with a busted thumb, his performance wasn't the most glaring problem on Sunday.

His performance gave us zero points. How can you do anything but blame a loss in a guy who delivered zero points. What was a more glaring problem than not scoring a single point?

He didn't play well, but I just wouldn't put the loss squarely on him. The Defense really struggled to get off the field and couldn't tackle/stop the run/cover/etc, Special teams (return game, missed FG), Soooo many penalties... This was a complete team loss. It was evident that the game plan was to use Brissett very conservatively so that he wouldn't be relied on to win the game, and thats a coaching decision. He only had a handful of pass attempts in the first half.

As for not scoring points, agreed he didn't get the job done there - That redzone fumble was terrible. Note that in Houston, Brissett only scored 6 points if you eliminate short fields from solid Defense/ST causing turnovers.
