If Gronk was and is healthy...why wasn't he involved more?

Exactly. If Gronk were physically compromised Harbor would still be here.

Gronk on Sun vs CLE 6 catches 94 yards 2TDs

If Gronk was physically compromised he wouldn't have been out there for 70% of the snaps last week with a good amount of those snaps blocking. Would they really risk someone falling into his leg?

According to Breer and the rest of the boneheads hes limited.

These guys are clueless. So much inaccurate reporting.

Gronk's been limited because of who the QB was. buffalo was basically his first game and according to Howe or Kyed he only ran 13 routes. But ya good job by idiots like breer and bedard basing it on him running 13 routes with a a 3rd string rookie QB.

Plus he hasnt played a snap of a proper game since last playoffs in denver. Somehow these guys seem to think something is wrong. Clearly they are easing him in + wanted to play more of a blocking role so they could run the ball more and protect jacoby. But its not a fun narrative to talk about.Just like after the preseason , Felger was shouting from rooftops that if Jimmy wasnt ready for the regular season it would be on Bill. Of course he doesnt bring that up now.

Well, when you have Breer and Tanguay you are scraping the bottom of the bottom of the barrel.

I saw that crap today.

'If BB trades Gronk we'll know he's not able to be Gronk anymore' WHAT????

You could use that "logic" for any player at anytime.

I subscribe to the conspiracy theory that Gronk Inc. made it clear to Rob that he should NOT under any circumstance, expose himself to further injury by going full speed with a rookie QB who he has ZERO chemistry with, and if we are being honest here, isn't very accurate (not yet anyway).

I fully expect to see Gronk at full speed Sunday in Cleveland. Brady will bring out the best in the entire team. Those guys will be ready to run through a wall for him come kick-off.

I am going to get killed for this but............it's what I am thinking

Terrific Question!!!!! It begs the question while he is terrific when healthy he is often not healthy, lately he is more unhealthy than healthy. That opens the question, if we would be better off if he wasn't with us?

I am beginning to think so. He is not there when we need him the most and to pick up the slack. He is injury prone more often than not. I don't want to go back to research games we lost during regular season, playoffs or Superbowl's without him at top shape or not there.

These are the types of the posts that people save and resurrect in Februrary

It sucks that Gronk has been hindered by a hammy injury, but to suggest that we're better off without him is way out there in left field man. The TE position is a huge part of our offense and Gronk is one of the greatest of all time in the prime of his career

Yeah, you deserve to get killed for this one man.

In no way shape or form... Are the Pats better off without the greatest TE to ever play the game.

Gronk is a match-up nightmare. If it weren't for him, we would have gotten completely embarrassed in the AFCCG last season. He and Brady were the only reason we even had a CHANCE to win that game.

It's amazing the Pats are 3-1 without Brady and (A very limited) Gronk.

Good news, then - if we don't want him, there's exactly 31 other teams that would be ecstatic to pay for the privilege of taking him off our hands.

Related note: go back and rewatch Super Bowl 49. Not sayin that to be facetious, I really do recommend it. It's easy to forget, since he's not Butler, Edelman or Brady, but Gronk was a huge factor in it.

Let's not get hasty here (Dale Arnold voice)

He was out there for what 39 snaps?

JE11 and Hogan didn't see the ball a lot either.

Kinda need to look at the film to see how many of those snaps were block vs pass. On the pass, how many did JB look in his direction and if so, was Gronk open?

I'm willing to bet it was mostly blocking reps and easy going crossing / out patterns
Brissett completed one pass to a WR all day.
