I don’t care. You are obsessed with me.
You showed your character by saying you wouldn’t honor a bet the he made voluntarily of his own choice because you think that since you don’t like me integrity doesn’t matter.
There is an old saying. Integrity is what you do when no one is looking.
You support welching even when it’s out in the open. There is really nothing else to say. This explains a lot about you.
I don't dislike you, I don't know you.
I'm not obsessed with you, but unlike other posters who have learned trying to discuss football with you is pointless, I'm still in the learning phase of that progression and hold out hope the you will display some shred of accountability (that hope is fleeting).
Context matters. No one on the forum believes you would honour the bet were you to lose, just read the replies on this thread for proof of that.
This board’s notion of “honor” is starting to remind me of Regency England. A gentleman’s “debt of honor” back then meant a gambling debt to another wealthy gentleman, which had to be paid up immediately at the risk of ruin. Meanwhile debts to tradespeople who supplied you with food and clothing could be safely ignored, even if it left them starving on the streets.
IOW whenever guys start talking about “a matter of honor” I immediately suspect self-serving ********.
This entire subject of dares and welching has done more damage to the board’s readability than any negative posting ever did. I’d rather read a dozen negative rants about FOOTBALL than one petulant whine about welching.
You don't need to bail - everyone gets a little emotional, but doing it to this extreme is unnecessary. We're one game away from the postseason and it should be a fun offseason. I'm closing this, so let's move on.
