How sad is the Chiefs franchise

Then he should be in jail. If he’s not then he’s eligible for employment. So sayeth the law of the land.
Nope. The law of the land says that an employer can refuse to hire someone for any reason other than race, religion, national origin, etc. Teams are free to conclude AB is a crazy a-hole and not want to touch him. No one has a right to a job (except in the mind of some nutbar presidential candidates).

Remember the joy of upsetting the Rams 20-17? (and then 5X times beyond that)
Some people in Missouri or Northern California will feel that type of joy in 2 weeks.

It isn't just this thread that's sad. It is the stubborn assertion that we all have a right to be miserable/angry/bitter, etc.

Nobody's challenging the right. People are challenging the choice, when there are alternatives to be had.

I remember it well. I can still picture my youngest son in the chair next to me on the right, calmly asking "this is a big deal right?" as his older brother and I were going crazy on each side of him.

Seeing someone get that kind of joy is a great thing.

I saw a guy decked out in KC gear at the airport yesterday. My daughter (who is a freshman in college) was one when the Patriots beat the Rams. Wow, what a long ass great trip its been!

B&B has been the perfect storm

The Chiefs franchise and fan base deserve this, maybe more than any other franchise outside of Detroit.

Summerall and Madden always got grief for their understated call of the winning FG. I always thought it was perfect, because the moment is not about some announcer blathering on. It is about the unbridled joy of long-suffering fans being released wherever they are.

I also wonder if they thought the game was actually over as 7 seconds ran off on the FG - when clearly the play did not take that long. Today there would have been a kickoff.

Not true at all, they already have won a Super Bowl. If you want to talk long-suffering fan bases you'd have to include Cleveland, Buffalo, Minnesota, Phoenix, Cincinnati, Jacksonville, Carolina, Houston, Atlanta, Chargers and Tennessee along with Detroit. You have a crap screen name, by the way -- another lie.

Peyton's better than what? a dried cow pie in an Indy field? a guy with no arms or legs named Bob, swimming in Lake Ponchartrain screaming "Omaha!"? multiple root canals?

They said the the same thing about Montana and here we are 20 years later with Brady. Although my mind tells me his style of play will never get the longevity needed to do so.

They also said that Aaron Rodgers was the "chosen one." He was going to take the league by storm, could make every throw in the book, and throws that Brady could only dream of. But 15 years of Aaron Rodgers got the Packers only 1 Superbowl title.

Mahomes may be just as talented as Rodgers when he first arrived on the scene, but it takes more than talent to be a champion. He's going to have a stern test against San Francisco but this Chiefs offense has been red hot in the playoffs. The question still remains - do you trust Andy Reid to win the big one? I just can't. I've seen too many Reid playoff choke jobs. And this is the biggest playoff game of them all!

Got nothing else! :D

The KC hate is surprising.

Good team. Good QB. Hill is a turd but we've employed some turds over here as well. No reason the fans over there don't deserve a moment.

wait, why dont we like the chiefs franchise? apart from a bunch of douchey drunk fans (they're from MO area) and some bad dudes on the team (most teams have some form of these) I cant find much to dislike.

1. i like Mahomes

2. i like Fat Andy

3. Hunts seem ok, relatively

I agree. Both Mahomes and Reid are very likable and it's one of the original AFC franchises and deserves its moment.
