I'm talking about giving Bill latitude, and the benefit of the doubt.
We can discuss and analyze all we want, we can predict and project and criticize. But the 'doom and gloom' folks get old quick, it's why I'm never on here when the team's going through a rough stretch, because it's all so negative and nasty and 'I told you so', but most of those people aren't around when the team once again comes together and makes a deep playoff run.
It's why Felger and Mazz have such huge numbers. They're contrarian doom-and-gloomers. It's BORING to say 'Bill's right, AGAIN' over and over. The fact is Bill IS right, over and over. He misses, he makes mistakes. And we can analyze and criticize his moves and his mistakes. But the over-the-top hyperbole that comes out when something like the Mankins trade happens is embarrassing.
