On Thursday, prior to the 1st exhibition game, the rookies will finally get their REAL jersey numbers. Here is my guess (just on the draftees).

Christian Gonzalez - 0
Keion White - 99
Marte Mapu - 52 (no change)
Jake Andrews - 53 (no change)
Sidy Sow - 72
Antonio Mafi - 78
Kayshon Boutte - 81
Bryce Baringer - 16
Demario Douglas - 83
Ameer Speed - 30
Chad Ryland - 15 (Waitman gets cut)
Isaiah Bolden - 32

Because the receivers/DBs and LBs took all the low numbers, there really aren’t low numbers available for the specialists. I still think it’s kinda stupid to give receivers, DBs & LBs single digit numbers, it is what it is.

What’s your guesses on the draftees jersey numbers ?

Not shabby at all....really like Boutte at 81 but I don't like Jake Andrews with 53. Should be in the 60's or 70's IMO. I'll go with 61.

Almost there…

78 is retired, so nobody can have that. While I’m extremely against retired numbers (I’d be fine if 12 was the one), I think a year off after a notable departure is a nice gesture. I’d keep McCourty’s 32 out of circulation this season.

It’s too perfect that Baringer is entering the NFL the first year that punters are allowed to be in the 90s. I want to see him in his college 99 just because it would be hilarious.

These initial numbers sometimes change at cut downs (Barmore, for example), so I think White will end up in his college 6 eventually but not yet. Sorry, Nick Folk.

Demario Douglas - 16
Kayshon Boutte - 17

Personally, I see 3 numbers definitely worth retiring: Brady, Hannah, Tippett. Plus two maybes in Gino Cappelletti and 87 for Coates and GRONK.

Any idea when the rookies get to pick their actual jersey numbers? Isn't it usually the day before their first preseason game?

Keion White - 99

Kayshon Boutte - 81

Very 'tight' ....

I’ve been thinking way too much about this…Flowers had 98 which is now taken. Does he shoot for 99 or it is White?

As long as DD doesn't take #19, the kiss-of-death jersey

I know I'm old school, but I just wish more of our WR's had 80's.
I'd love Douglas to get 80 or 83 - either would make sense.
Mapu with 54 would be cool too.

I don't like 19 for Gonzalez, but the others aren't bad. Don't think Baringer and Bolden will keep their numbers.

Surprised by Gonzo, thought he'd take 0 for sure. Love white getting 99. some of these will change so i wouldn't buy any jerseys yet!

I HATE Gonzo in 19 - so dumb. Can't the office overrule certain players requests?

Glad Boutte & Douglas got 80, 81 - although, as I mentioned yesterday, I was hoping Pop would get 80.

Bolden getting 7 doesn't bode well - that's what JSS has.

I'm sure Gonzo will wait until the start of the regular season to get his new number. Wonder if he'll go with his college number 0.

That's what I'm hoping. That's a cool number for a CB. He can say he's so lockdown, they named his jersey after how many catches that he allows. Zero is underrated.

Just a reminder that the rookies often get limited choices in numbers: Gostkowski was given two choices, 3 or 5. Over on reddit, someone says Mac was just given 10 by the team without being asked.

I agree about Boutte & Douglas, I wanted 80 for Douglas, since he’s the new Troy Brown.

I wonder what some of these guys wind up with. Obviously 38, 8 & 9 are taken.
