Gronk?

I think because it’s a big red X people are inherently disturbed by it, but it actuality, to disagree is more self explanatory than it is to dislike or like something.

Let’s resign Ab, there is only one interpretation for a disagree on that statement.

Im joking.

I would take AB back too and I never wanted him from the get - go.

I don't give too many red X's, but when I do, it's X instead of XX.

Gronk ain't walking through that door. He's done, except for following his agent's orders to stay relevant by pretending he might come back for the next 5 years or so. Apparently retirement papers can be filed or withdrawn at any time (and often are), so they are not much of an indication of anything.

Then Gronk should file the papers if they can be rescinded. That would be an act of good faith on Gronks behalf that its over even though the retirement process has loopholes.

A simple process that would end the majority of debate.

So, you're citing Kraft as the actual authority on the ins and outs of NFL regs and the CBA? That's a hoot. You might have noticed he was pretty well ridiculed for that remark by people who I expect know what they're talking about.

The NFL no longer uses “retirement papers”

And youre citing Florio the NFLs version of the National Enquirer.

I will put my money on SI and this explains why Gronk has not filed

If Gronkowski were to submit his retirement paperwork that would mean he would have to then submit a formal request to the NFL to re-enter the league. However, by not submitting the paper work the former tight end should be able to return to the game whenever he wishes and play for New England.

Right now Gronkowski is on the reserve/retired list. He would have to be taken off the list by Dec. 1, per NFL rules, if he wanted to return to football this season.

Rob Gronkowski hasn't submitted his retirement paperwork yet, which leaves hope for a return to Patriots

These NFL players probably just send a text into the NFL office that they have quit playing. Like Gronk.

Its only a billion dollar business and who has time for paperwork and all that crap? Do it all online like Bank of America.. Contract and all.

But that's just it - he and his agent don't want to end the debate - it's good for business.

Good If Gronk would like to destroy his credibility in NE.

It is one thing if Gronk only stated that he is done playing after repeated requests to comeback and quite another for him to feed the rumor mill as a practical joke.

Or it's entirely possible that Gronk is being truthful, that as it stands right now, he's retired and happy, but acknowledging that could change.

I can easily believe that he occasionally gets the itch to play again. But the occasional itch isn't enough to rededicate him to the mental and physical grind of playing football in the NFL.

He is an active player per NFLPA.

Give them a red X

He has been on the "reserve retired" list since March. Look it up.
Legally can he come back? Sure. Will he? He said No.
Is there a sliver of hope he changes his mind next year?
Perhaps but do not count on it.

You are one stubborn Cat when it comes to this subject. Don't let it get to you either way...not worth it. I'm wondering though...how would you feel if he actually did come back in a month or so? If he has that drive again...would you be happy if he is playing again? Would you be happy he'd probably be helping the Pats with another Super Bowl? Or would it bother you that he is risking more serious injury by playing? I'm kinda torn on the subject.

Meh. He's not destroying his credibility in NE (at least not with me), nor is he playing a practical joke.

SI is turning into basically rivals.com. Florio isn't quite Schefter but he's a hell of a lot more like Schefter than Sharks of Vegas.

If Gronks situation happens to change then he is coming back.

Up to this point Gronks comments have been ambiguous.

No, Gronk is not playing a joke which is why he will be back this season.

Why wouldnt Gronk be on the reserved list since March.

That is when the new league year begins. No great mystery since the Pats control his rights.

See what I started?

If I disagree AB should be resigned, I’d tell you why

That’s because I’m not a lazy poster

In my opinion, AB is a troubled man. Besides, Goodell said the league isn’t going to allow him to play until their investigation is over

The ab signing was just an analogy. I was just discussing the merits of the disagree emoji. Your disagreement to an ab signing is just that, a disagreement, it’s really self explanatory. I get X all the time, it’s nature. Being disliked is worse. IMO.

if we were having a discussion face to face and you said you disagreed with a point I made, I’d ask you why you disagree.

That’s how natural discussions work. To say one disagrees is not self explanatory at all UNTIL one states why
