"There is a place on this earth for all God's creatures....right beside the mashed potatoes."

"I love animals, they're delicious."

"For every animal you don't eat, I'm going to eat three."

I don't know about "every member" of Peta, but I'm not a fan of the organization and some of their more extreme tactics. I think a lot of animal lovers would be disgusted if they knew some of the things Peta has done, and I doubt many would support some of Peta's ultimate goals.

Why couldn't they use a pair of tongs? Is teeth really the most efficient way to castrate a lamb?

I hope PETA just blows up every slaughterhouse and chicken coop. God knows I don't want burgers or chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday. Most slaughterhouses make this look like they're merely shearing the goat or cutting its nails or something.

I actually thought it was pretty cool. It's hardly inhumane (it's difficult to classify any sort of castration as humane, period, but as humans we've been doing it for tens of thousands of years to animals), and not even on the same level as dog-fighting, which pits two basically tortured animals against each other in a fight to the death. This isn't torture, it isn't killing the animal, it's just what farmers do.

Though I suspect this has more to do with it being a Giants player than it actually being disagreeable with your conscience. If it was Logan Mankins, you'd be saying "that's awesome!" Certainly, having goats balls in your mouth is a little disturbing on a number of levels, but it'd take a certain breed of man to be able to do that as well.

If Mankins did this I'd want him off the team, pro bowler or not. Not to mention if he talked about it in public during superbowl week...I bred and owned show horses for years. Gelded all my colts. Paid for the vet and the anesthesia. That's what responsible "farmers" do in the 21st century in the richest country on earth.

This story has been around and public since Ruegamer was in college.

You don't have to support their ultimate goals or be a fan of their extremist tactics. The point here is this clown deserves to experience their wrath first hand.

He talks about what he and his friends from college did as "unprintable." So how much worse are these things than gnawing out the testicles of lambs? I don't want to know...I don't want to know...

Probably things equivalent to your own college stories. Don't we all have them?

Yeah, Mankins is all like "Well I'll wrassle em, but if you want someone to chew their nuts off you gotta call Ruegamer."

This gives 'sacking the QB' a whole new meaning!

It's really not so strange, most large sheep farmers do the same thing It's the most efficient way to do the job. Nae my cuppa tea.

You've got to admit, it does show a personal touch.

ethical and uncruel way to castrate? no such thing. would you rather have someone bite your nads off in .02 seconds, or a rubber band strapped around them so tight that they turn purple, black and then eventually fall off? there are still slaughterhouses that kill cows with a sledgehammer to the head because it is cheapest. civilized? dunno, depends on your definition of civilized.

If anyone is freaked out about this, you don't want to go to the western US.

It is all around...

Now, doing it with yer teeth... that part IS a bit weird.

But, it is very common place in the midwest, and western part of Amerika.

Not really a big thing.

You and your fellow alums at Tightass Tech must have great reunions.

ya great ones. there's having fun and then doing disgusting things. and add on collecting nails and caluses. let's try to be civilized here
