Great article on how Hogan became a Pat

One of the takeaway points for me in the article was how they said that Hogan is a hard worker, gets up early, works out, maintains a strict diet, and is a bit of a perfectionist. He doesn't just settle and he gets mad at himself if he makes mistakes. It seems attitude wise he follows the Patriot Way.

he's basically the WR version of tom brady.

.

Love this guys game but he takes some brutal hits. He needs to learn how to get down and protect himself IMHO.

Glad they brought up the Emanuel Sanders thing.
Went after him twice.
First time they nickle-****ed it.
Not sure what happened the second time.
Brady would have made him a super star.

I don't understand the short term view.
Why would you not want to work with a hall of famer QB and coach?
Compete for the Superbowl every year.

I blame the agents. Not looking out for the clients best intrests long term.
Looking for the biggest commission.
Worked out for Sanders, though. He got a ring.

i don't understand this. he got paid, and he got a super bowl ring. seems like the agents did their job well.

Hogan is a warrior (like Julian and Danny). Having him made all the WR “plethora“ from TC obsolete.
So in the end he was a cheap option .. not having to pay 2-3 backup guys like w LaFell, Dobson etc.

Seeing him going all-in on every down, blocking like crazy, fighting for the ball and teammates - that's what makes him a great player to have. Seeing him staying on the field after those terrible hits makes him a great commodity on that all-important dependability list.

His one area he needs to improve is in sustaining blocks. He doesn't do that well. That or the DB's he's facing are just better? I don't know how to judge that.

This team has Gronk. Hogan, Edelman, White, Lewis and a young OL locked up for next year (okay Solder isn't young).

They do need to sign Cannon and I would redo the Amendola deal and hopefully extent Bennett but a lot of the offense looks in place for years to come.

Even if they don't resign Amendola and cut him and let Bennett walk it is not like they are low on options.

Gronk. Hogan, Edelman, White/Lewis isn't bad. Add in Mitchell and though you have no depth at TE you are starved for pass catching options. Ideally though I'd like to keep this current group together cause it is such a great mix and can really attack all parts of the field with all sorts of match up issues.
