I was thinking the same thing when I read a local writer describe the play and said that Hightower had kept close coverage on Graham on this play. this picture paints a more vivid picture. Its just one play but it is more evidence that Hightower is going to be sick I mean not many people can keep up with this guy.

Now imagine how nuts we would all be going if the play was actually broken up

it's really tough to cover a 6-9 guy.

It's almost comical to see someone that big wearing #45.

I hope he changes it, it just doesn't look right.

I wouldn't worry about it considering it's literally against NFL rules for him to keep it. I think he should take a number in the 90s but I doubt he would with a 50s number open.

Did Graham grown 3 inches since his combine? Graham was only 6'6 1/4 then. Same as Gronk..

That being said, Graham does have a 4in height advantage over Hightower.

He can petition the NFL to allow him to keep that number. And he had mentioned that he planned on keeping it..

That being said, I would not be surprised if he flipped the numbers around come the start of the regular season and the league denied him the use of 45.

Tedy Bruschi wore #45 as a rookie in pre-season...

Not expecting Waters back?

Tarpinian will probably not make the cut so that opens up #53.

Holy crap, that really awakened my dead brain cells, I actually remember that now. Thanks for reminding me !

Did he really say he wanted to keep it? That's interesting.

That was his number in college if I'm not mistaken

Looked it up and it was #30 ...:O

So far it looks as though Hightower is the most physical player on the Pats defense, and is a load moving forward. He's strong as an ox, and reportedly even overpowered Gronk during drills. He is adept at bumping receivers off their routes, has good instincts, can play sideline to sideline, can play inside or out, and has pretty fair range for a guy his size. And just the fact that he can stay with a guy like Jimmy Graham shows impressive coverage potential.

That's a pretty impressive overall package. Time to refresh my signature.

Not with his legs broken.

Oh wait sorry, that's the Saints that do that... Somehow threatening to film him doesn't pack the same OOMPH.

sorry, i read an article a few days ago comparing gronk and graham and it said that graham was 6-9. i should have double checked.

And a motor. He doesn't quit on plays. He covers turf and makes tackles far from where he lined up.

The kid has legs like tree stumps, but can move like a gazelle. He's a freak. With that size and strength he should not be that mobile, but he is.

And his football IQ is such that I really have a hard time believing all that is in one package, one guy, and that he's our guy. This draft will go down in Patriots history once he and Jones blossom a little.

Hightower has passed my expectations by a lot. Trying to temper my hopes here, but he just seems special from the get go.

I wouldn't be, pretty much everyone is wrong, lol. Combine has him at 6-6, College foot ball has him at 6-7 to 6-8, basket ball had him at 6-9, and he was again officially measured at a little over 6-7 at the Saints facilities. He says hes over 6-7 also. But we all know how guys lie about size.

I think I was saying to the good people here before to watch him stand next to gronk, or someone 6-6, not that you have any 1st string OL left
His size is very deceptive because he's not built like a brick house like gronk, he's very proportionate. At a distance he looks normal, but up close hes huge.
Its pretty unanimous for us seeing him at camp and games Grahams 6-7 or a just a little taller. Otherwise it depends who you talk to, lol, tho Falcon fans still say hes 6-8,lol
