Graham may have scored on Hightower in practice but...

Yeah, hehe, it was pretty evident that that catch wasnt going to end well, lol

Surprised Graham held on to that ball. Hightowers arm was all over it. Boy can catch. Im not sure what that play was, a short route, 15 yard post, but Id be really suppressed if Hightower can keep up with graham past the 10 yard marker. Hightower runs a 4.68 I think. But if his instinct are this good on the short routes he will stop a lot of 3rd down short passes, and get opposing teams of the field.
I doubt many WR/TE could hold on to that ball from where his arm was. It was perfectly placed to screw up the catch.
Graham probably got lucky on that one.

I just thought this picture was pretty funny "Oh no you Dint"

Graham and Gronk are 7ft tall and growing, don't get it twisted. As their legend grows so will they

He can petition the NFL to allow him to keep that number. And he had mentioned that he planned on keeping it..

That being said, I would not be surprised if he flipped the numbers around come the start of the regular season and the league denied him the use of 45.

they're already selling his jersey, and its #45.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet but Graham went to the ground very hard on that play.

I think he was pissed because he jumped up and spiked the ball right in hightower's face and headed for the sideline. Once on the sideline he slammed his helmet down and laid down behind the bench and the trainers worked on him for 5-10 minutes. I didn't see if he returned but I think he got a little banged up on the play.

I would imagine. In the pic, he looks as if he's about to smack the ground really hard. Hopefully Hightower really gives him something to be angry about, after the fog clears (of course), tonight.

'don't make me smack a b'

So far it looks as though Hightower is the most physical player on the Pats defense, and is a load moving forward. He's strong as an ox, and reportedly even overpowered Gronk during drills. He is adept at bumping receivers off their routes, has good instincts, can play sideline to sideline, can play inside or out, and has pretty fair range for a guy his size. And just the fact that he can stay with a guy like Jimmy Graham shows impressive coverage potential.

That's a pretty impressive overall package. Time to refresh my signature.

Hmmmmm. I think somebody told you he would be much better in coverage than you thought during one of the Lavonte David threads.

I don't want to rehash it because as I said there they really would be playing two different positions.

I've said it before he's going to be the DROY.

We'll see the bucs soon enough next week and then you can see david in action.

Not sure if anyone read the feedback related to this catch. He really did make him pay: Camp Observations: Day 14 - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

Play of the day for New Orleans. Sometimes there’s just nothing a defender can do to counter an offensive player, and that was the case on a seam-stretching throw from Drew Brees to Graham. Graham went over and above the outstretched arms of linebacker Dont'a Hightower, who did well to stride with him down the seam, for a score. Graham landed awkwardly and appeared to tweak his back, but Brees made mention after practice that he is fine. It’s easy to understand why Graham snared almost 100 catches last season.
