When I saw that picture of Beckett in the Globe (today?) you could tell he had worked out this off season. He sure flung it today. Nice highlight of Dustin's first at bat.

Only got to listen to the game on the radio, I usually like to watch the 1st game if possible ... but I love listening to baseball on the radio so it was all good. I like how Francona was not afraid to go right back to the bullpen when Okie had problems. It sounded like he was nervous? Of course in the dead of the summer that will be hard to do but I like this bullpen and I love how deep this team and organization is this year.

Will it be enough?

As always health will be needed as it is for all the teams but it still looks nice. A great blend of veterans and youth on the team all with a common goal of working hard for the sake of the team. The pitching staff is deep ... I am geeked up for a great season ... 103 victories ...

I watched the game today on NESN, one of the perks of working 2nd shift and living in Arizona. Becket was throwing 95mph heaters with total command. It was a thing of beauty! Pedey's 1st ab was a dinger! Haha. Tek made some solid bat contact. Drew, Bay, and Lowrie looked solid. Teddy K, with help from Jim Ed threw out the 1st pitch. It was fun.

Give them time, I think in in situations where we have people on base and need runs [like yesterday and the day before] we pinch hit for Lowrie, he just can't get it done. We can either pinch hit Baldelli or Drew depending on whose in the game.
