Actually what I posted repeatedly is that if you watch the footage of Chism playing at Eastern Washington he looks exactly like Edelman, and it’s really fun to watch. He’s exceptionally athletic, tough, has great hands, and plays his ass off. I haven’t seen anything from the Patriots camps, and I don’t put much stock in anything without pads. And the reason this excites me so much is that I believe that the WelkerEdelman slot role is a quarterbacks best friend, because that’s the guy you can go to when a pass rush is destroying your OL and immediately in your quarterbacks face. Douglas and Diggs play out of the slot at times, but they don’t play that specific start-stop-start instantly open role that Welker and Edelman played for Brady, that saved both his ass and countless drives for them. Chism brings that role back for them, and I’m betting that’s what both MacDaniels and Vrabel will see in him, and that’s why I’m betting on great things for him. Am I right, only time and a lot of games will tell, but that’s what I’m betting on. If I’m wrong I’m sure that many here won’t hesitate to tell me what a stupid mother****er I am, but that’s ok, I’m used to that.
One, if you can find the podcast where his EW coach is interviewed there is a ton of footage of his play, and it’s eye opening.
