Back injury on report way more concerning than ankle injury. I’ve assumed Gronk has had a back injury for the past nine years every day, and it’s just a question of how bad it happens to be. I fear that injury will ultimately end his career, but hopefully this is just within the norm and we’re far away from talking about the end.

Which again goes to why it is not entirely crazytown to think about the team potentially moving on from him last offseason if the return was worth it. He is one hit away from retirement and did not necessarily play it cool this spring.

Again, I would love to have him play his entire career with us but it is not totally absurd to wonder about other options.
