Giants WON - we now have the #1 pick

The line for the game is only Buffalo -2, that tells you they don't believe Allen is playing much at all since the line was -14.5 last week.

If it was a normal game they'd be about a 9.5-10 point fav in Foxboro, 7.5-8pts adjustment is a QB adjustment, if you take the people who's livelihoods depend on their information being accurate they're telling you Allen probably starts to keep his starts streak alive and is gone after 1 series.

Coach Sanders said he wants to play WR. I am sure Coach Sanders knows his intention.

How does he "seem to be preparing to play CB" to you?

I posted a post in another thread that reports are he is preparing to workout for teams as a CB. Who knows if the reports are true.

And of course most experts are projecting him as a CB who can play some WR.

We need blue chip talent on the roster. If they can trade down and still get one then by all means do it. The silver lining of how bad the roster is right now is that they don’t need to worry about position because we need it all. So as much as people fixate on WR or LT, if the trade down takes them far enough where it’s another position they should still make the move.

This is not the season to have the #1 pick.

This is the season to have the #1 pick because we've already eaten the bag o' donkey ****s that went with this uninspired 3 win debacle of a season. Certainly no one is gonna be in a hurry to repeat this in the near future. From where most of us sit, it had best be now or never for the Pats with the #1 pick YMMV

Which 'experts'? Because this is the one game-breaking WR in the draft, who can run routes, has really good get-off moves, and uses leverage well.

If the Pats are 1st, and the Giants are 3rd.. I don't even trade up. I just sit there and see if Hunter falls to them at 3. Pair him with Nabors and good luck dealing with that.

I would prefer Mason Graham over another corner.

Hunter is so dynamic as a WR, I would love to draft him as a WR. Most corners don't have great hands, Hunter has excellent hands so it would be too bad to only see him at WR 10 or 20 plays a game.

Noone can last 100 snaps a game at CB and WR, especially with 17 games a year. The injury risk alone would be ridiculous. I think Hunter will want to mostly be a WR, but maybe not. It is his decision.

There is more money at CB. Hunter won't be a #1 at WR but corner he will likely be elite demanding top dollar.

Maybe. Watching Hunter at WR is amazing. In a couple of years he will grow more. I am not sure the CB versus WR picture is the same in 4 years.

He's the best receiver in this draft by a good margin.
Whether that makes him a "#1" in your eyes, I dunno.

Mayo will win a meaningless game vs the Bills 2nd and third stringers, pump his fist coming off the field, and mutter meaningless drivel about “culture” as the Pats drop to #4 and have no leverage to acquire more picks.
he'll say **** like the coaching was really top notch today, all the coaches really did a great job. just like after every loss its always "play better" and not coach better.

Mayo is a loser.

No you can’t, clear sign of tanking, that’s not how you build a winning culture. It would be a horrible look against a dwindling franchise.
The OL can't protect him and he got clocked on the game against the Chargers, he dropped the ball instantly and that's a clear sign.

Many were saying to shut him down yesterday before #1 pick on the line.

watch that ****ing loser Mayo win next week and screw this team over

getting #1, firing Mayo, trading #1 to a QB needy team for a haul could drastically change this team

They have been tanking all season. That's the only explanation. They can't possibly be that poorly coached, can they?

I have no issues sitting him with his well being for the future.
