Giants WON - we now have the #1 pick

No talk about grabbing Travis Hunter with that 1st pick?

That pick is worth a lot. You can fill all or almost all the holes on the roster by trading out with the right partner, even if it takes multiple years (IE, multiple R1 picks) to do it. Further, as @Ross12 and I have said, with the #1 pick, a franchise QB and a ton of cap space, you have the juice to attract the best minds available to fix your front office and coaching staff, assuming the Krafts have the sack to admit they were wrong and correct their error now.

Stay the course and, yeah, you probably end up with Hunter for five years.

We're in this mess because of BB's poor drafting and the people they put in a higher position since then.
You mean the draft picks like Owenu, Barmore, Dugger and Rham who they just signed to large contracts? It’s still a mystery why they were signed. Good news is that there’s an out in 2026 on all of them.

But Mayo knew exactly what he was getting himself into. Rather than pointing the finger at Bill, he should be grateful with the position that he’s in.

And Wolf had tons of money and draft capital, but only came away with Drake Maye who everyone and their Mom mocked to the Pats. Imagine had he been a dud.

If they get the number one pick, I hope they trade it for a later round 1 pick and another round 2. This team is far far away from being good and one player isn't going to change that. Hell, 4 good draft picks isn't going to change it.
You realize that only like 51 players per draft end up being good players? That's less than 2 per team. Even less are elite players. A 2nd round pick is highly likely not going to be a good player, the lower first round pick is a 50% chance of a good player vs 80% chance of a top 4 pick.
We need to stop with this idea that getting more picks gets you a better roster because you get more good players. History shows you might get 1 good player and an average player and miss out on an elite player.

And that's assuming an average draft not an historically weak draft like this one.

You can fill out the roster in free agency with guys that are cheap but also have shown they can at least play in the NFL. Otherwise, I'd always be trading picks after round 3 for an earlier round the next year if I could.
