Between Stork Mason Andrews Jackson Kline I think you have your 5 interior OL guys all set going forward. I love that depth.

The funny thing is Kline could very possibly end up being your 5th option and he is worth this money and would start on some teams.

He's pretty much starting on THIS team.

Disagree. They'd all need to be replaced, they're on the roster for some reason, even if it's only depth and practice bodies.

I counted more than half that I think would clearly be worth re-signing. Actually, I'd argue all of them should be re-signed unless a better value comes along, either a better player at the same price or a comparable talent at a cheaper price.

I think several still have a lot of upside. Hicks is one that could very well turn out to be a real steal. I think he's showed enough that I'd love to see him get a contract extension in time for Christmas. Tyms is another that I'd like to see have a good chance when he's healthy, to evaluate how much of an improvement he would be over Dobson. As much time and chance that Dobson's had, I'd expect Tyms should be around for awhile longer to see how he can do. And the only reasons that I could see to let Blount go would be if he got too high an opinion of his own value, or if he loses focus on doing his job and starts to enjoy his success too much. Fletcher and Martin are two others I think are definitely worth keeping for what they've already showed, and their potential for even more growth.

By replace I mean players you have to put high priority on replacing, guys you'll want to spend higher draft picks on and such.

Congrats to Kline. Love it when an unknown makes his own way. I still think another O-lineman or 2 in the next draft wouldn't be a bad idea. Keep the pipeline open!

One of my favorite things about this team is how they always reward 1-2 guys who had to scratch and claw to even find a roster spot in the first place.

Speaks volumes to the younger guys when you preach hard work, and take care of the lesser know guys who practice the walk. Every team will throw money at a Brady or gronk or solder, not many teams are chipping away at the middle of the roster like BB does.

Right on, I'm fine with that. He's been competent, and I think paying market value for competence and continuity behind two rookies is reasonable. Was worried that this might end up being a Kyle Arrington-type deal, but sounds like that's not a concern.

The 2016 team will be absolutely loaded.

That's helpful, and amazing. No Revis/McCourty/Wilfork decisions; no Gronk/Brady; no Chandler Jones/Jamie Collins/Donte Hightower.

One can certainly make a case for CB Tarell Brown, DT Akiem Hicks, DT Sealver Siliga, RB LaGarrette Blount, FB James Develin. But the team can live without them.

Wilson, Ebner - they have six other Safeties on the roster.
Gibson, Martin, Tyms - deep back-up. Would compete with street free agents and rookies.
Fletcher - sure, as ST depth.

And good news on Kline.
Really nice to see continued development post-Scar. That was obviously a concern.

I like it. He gets too much grief. He - unlike so many (Cutler, Kap...) - is "better than what he should be". And he's available next game. And we'be hardly heard his name this year. Which is great.

I don't see them letting Siliga or Develin walk, and I hope they re-sign Ebner and Fletcher (especially if Mayo doesn't rework his deal).

I could be wrong, but I get the impression that Belichick will have a spot here for Ebner, and barring unforeseen circumstances, that may be for awhile.

I believe that he appreciates his hard work ethic, obstacles that he's overcome with his dad being murdered (IIRC), and his solid ST play.

Somewhere Jordan Devey is weeping and wondering about what might have been.

Your statement is a good reminder of one of the reasons why so many posters here didn't like Josh Kline. Many people tended to lump the two players together, and Devey was not very good at all.

Kline, OTOH, showed a lot of promise when Solder went down in late 2013 and Mankins had to move to LT. He also went on to play in 2/3 of our postseason games last year.
