I love this

It's going to be a beatdown of monumental proportions.

Pats will run it up just to rub Ryan's face in it.

Like Rex eating a box of Krispy Kreme donuts.

I would have thought that Jest fans wouldn't have noticed the gut!!!

Re: From JetsInsider.com: Ya Know Something? After All Their Talk, I Have NO Sympat

You'd think those Jets fans would take some comfort in Vegas's confidence in them given the relatively small point spread (4.5 taking away home field advantage).

The Jets offense unquestionably stunk on ice against a very good Ravens D, but it is only one game (although the sloppy play gave the Jets looked like poor coaching and a lack of discipline, which likely won't correct itself in a week). I figured the fans would at least wait until a second or third loss before pouncing on the Jets organization and season prospects.

I'd be pretty surprised if that's still a 1.5 point line by game-time.

Re: From JetsInsider.com: Ya Know Something? After All Their Talk, I Have NO Sympat

......even Patsfanken is over there trying to cheer them up!
Ken posts there an a regular basis...a "world traveler"!

Re: From JetsInsider.com: Ya Know Something? After All Their Talk, I Have NO Sympat

*cough* guess you don't recall the meltdown on this board in 2003 when the bills blanked us 31-0 in the first game of the year...

We don't have to go back as far as 2003 on that point. lol.

Re: From JetsInsider.com: Ya Know Something? After All Their Talk, I Have NO Sympat

I hope the team isn't taking the Jets as lightly as some of the fans are.

No chance of that...BB is on the case.

And lets face it, this has become a statement game for the pats too after listening to those freaking bozos run their mouths all offseason.

Re: From JetsInsider.com: Ya Know Something? After All Their Talk, I Have NO Sympat

If the o-line can keep Tom off his ass we're in good shape. I dare not predict it, just the jests are a wounded animal and like others have said will repeatedly go after Brady.

Hope we torch the ****ers

Re: From JetsInsider.com: Ya Know Something? After All Their Talk, I Have NO Sympat

Would love BB to run the score up, but knowing him, he'd call off the dogs and put Hoyer in for some experience after they were up 34-10 in the 4th.

I got banned at JI when I took exception to one or more of their Mods changing my tagline more than once.

I took a harsh parting shot at the kid and knew it was ban worthy...LMAO

Just as happy posting here where overall team expectations are a bit more realistic instead of the "The Jets are gonna be SB bound" because they got a laydown invite to the playoffs and played a couple good games attitude.

For Jet fans...reality is gonna S**K when they find out other teams in the NFL have improved and now have a year's worth of film on Sanchez.

Re: From JetsInsider.com: Ya Know Something? After All Their Talk, I Have NO Sympat

For me, no situation or year is different from the other and feelings for the Jets and their fans. Screw them no matter what.

RIght there with you. Some here predicted 0-16 without the heart and soul of our defense. The questioners of BB were as vocal then as some of the maroons here now.

Cripes, even with a victory vs the Bnegals, the O clicking on all cylinders, and the Defense light years better than ANYONE could possibly have imagined, they are finding fault.

I agree, and i think it will be a Statement Game for every team the Rats face this year.

Agreed. The "trade Tom Brady"/"fire Bill Belichick" discussions of last season are about as far back as you have to look for our own versions of "falling down" moments after a loss.

Re: From JetsInsider.com: Ya Know Something? After All Their Talk, I Have NO Sympat

Jabba The Mouth has put a bullseye square on the belly of his team.

Nothing like making your team's job just a bit harder every week.

We all get to see how the Jets will handle pressure this season.

I'd love to see them run the score up on the Jets as much as the next guy. But, I'm also realistic. If we start doing that again on a regular basis, it's only a matter of time before Tommy is shelved for the season again with a blown out knee.

Re: From JetsInsider.com: Ya Know Something? After All Their Talk, I Have NO Sympat

I really don't think the game's going to be a walk-through like a lot of people here and at JI think.

The Jets love to talk, but a week's worth of embarrassment from the entire country should have them ready to redeem themselves. Plus they'll be desperate. Plus it's their Super Bowl.

That defense is still elite, with some holes, but still much better than ours.

We're starting two kids at CB. Very talented, but even the Rams were able to game-plan around them. The Rams.

We'll be on the road with a young team. And let's be honest: their offense has only one way to go.

I like our chances, but I'm not expecting a romp. It'll be a good game.

:agree:

Don't underestimate them. They are still loaded with talent. Embarrassing themselves like that might go a long way towards making them more focused. I take solace in knowing that our HC is taking them very seriously.

This is a big game for the Pats, no doubt. It's a road game, and a division game.

Good teams win on the road. Good teams win in their division.

This game will be an important indicator of whether the 2010 Patriots are for real.

Yep, I'd imagine we'd see a complete 180 in message board postings if the Pats were to lose this weekend.

Suddenly the Jets fans would be reclaiming they were SB bound and Pats fans will be declaring the onset of Armegeddon.

Dr. Raymond Stantz: What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Mayor. Real wrath of God type stuff! Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!
Dr. Egon Spengler: Forty years of darkness, earthquakes, and volcanos!
Winston Zeddemore: The dead rising from the grave!
Dr. Peter Venkman: Human sacrifices, dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!

HAHA!

Too funny.

I hope we add to their misery. Rex needs to shut his pie hole.

Re: From JetsInsider.com: Ya Know Something? After All Their Talk, I Have NO Sympat

Just wait until Saturday when all of these fans start making a 180 on their predictions. A week in the season is like a microcosm of the entire year for the Jets, with the apex coming when they're not playing.

Come Saturday, 99% of Jets fans will have a "feeling" that they're going to pull it out, some brilliant game planning from their living room, and the assurance that Monday's game was a fluke.
