From a Chiefs Fan Perspective

I’m getting a 1969 Celtics vibe from the Pats now; let’s hope for a couple of “balloon games”!

I’m sure the other old farts on this forum get the reference. For those who don’t, Google the 1969 Celtics and you may see why I’m getting that feeling going into the game.

Never discount the value to a team of having been in championship games. A good many of the Pats have been in 8 in the past 5 years. I think it’s a bigger factor than what others in this thread seem to be thinking.

You won't know at half time, even if Brady seems "off". You will know when the 4th quarter reads 0:00

Or sometimes shortly thereafter.

What I want to know is which team has the edge under a super blo0d wolf moon, statistically speaking

Yes, and Atlanta Braves fans stole it from Florida State Seminole fans. It's a totally unoriginal, moronic hijacking of a horridly obnoxious concept to begin with. Makes me want to puke every time. I'd rather hear the J-E-T-S chant, and everyone here knows how much I despise the Jete.
We get it. Maybe start another thread for your ridiculous personal crusade. Nobody in here is interested in discussing fan chants unless they effect the score.

IF Eric Berry is healthy and plays at 90% or more it changes the entire defense, whenever the guys are interviewed on defense they always talk about him as the absolute QB of the defense and gets everyone going in the right direction.

You should maybe reconsider your GM if no one but Berry can "get everyone going in the right direction".

Now listen here. I’ve spoken to all 46 of the chiefs fans while under the influence.

They know they are screwed. Several of them while being memory transgressed, started yelling about all this weird stuff. That and cussing

I have no clue what the hell is going on but I love every word of it.

the chiefs struggled at home against the only decent teams they played......lost to the chargers and needed OT to beat the ravens......the rest of the opponents at home were garbage...combined record of 28-68 and nobody with more than 6 wins

This is really important. Home field seems a lot less of an advantage after looking at the Chiefs schedule. They scored a ton of points at home, but the defenses they faced were less than daunting.

I didn't know that the teams the Chiefs beat at home were the Raiders, Broncos, 49ers, Cardinals, Bengals, Jaguars and Ravens. They lost to the Chargers who dominated the Ravens in Baltimore. The Chiefs beat the Colts at home last week in the Divisional round with the bye to prepare.

As you point out, the Chiefs really struggled in the Ravens game which gives BB and Brian Flores a lot of information. Holding these guys to a score in the mid-20s is a tall order but not at all out the question. The Chargers held them to 28, the Ravens held them to 27. I think, right now, the Patriots defense is better than either of those.

No, YOU don't "get it" and you definitely don't speak for anyone else here, least of all the native American Pats fan who chimed in with his own perspective. Take a running jump you freaking ingrate.

Great, much appreciated. Perhaps the idiots doing it (and I realize there are thousands of them) would come up with something more appropriate and original if they understood that (A) it started more than 30 years ago at Florida State University then was adoped by fans of Atlanta's baseball team, (B) it perpetuates a ridiculous racial stereotype and (C) the melody draws from a 1930s Western movie. Also, native Americans hate it and have proposed that your football team be renamed either the Kansas City Rednecks or Missouri Greaseballs. Something additional to consider.
I like when the Chiefs fans do the chant. Figures you would complain about something so stupid.

I would add that two of the teams that they lost to - Titans and Lions - currently have former Pats who might know more about our plays than any of the other coaches. So, I am not too bothered about those losses.

Jags were pretty strong early this season, and I don't think we ever play well when the heat is more than 70.

The Steelers loss was a bit difficult for me especially on seeing how Brady seemed to make errant throws and looked uncomfortable. Maybe he was injured. We will never know. He seemed to be perfect last week and I am hoping we see the same version on Sunday.

So, I am not too concerned about how badly we sucked in at least two of those four losses to teams with a losing record (other than the Steelers).

Here is looking forward for a injury-free game that we prevail.

GO PATS!!

And welcome to our forum, rational Chiefs fan! Great OP!
The Pats road record this year is being over emphasized for this game. I think the Pats are going to be ready to play tonight. Chiefs are good and have game at home so I am not saying we win, just saying all this "3 and 5" talk too over generalized as being a big factor.

Winning an AFCG game or any playoff game on the road is hard. But the Pats are going to be ready to play tonight.

Pats road opponents were 58-69-1 but have wins vs CHI, a 12-4 team and played Pitt tough. TN had a winning record and we got killed.

Pats home opponents were 76-66-2 and beat teams with winning records by 14, 3, 13, 7 and 14.

Chiefs road opponents were 72-50 and they went 5-3 but lost to Lambs, Hawks and us. Beat Browns, Chargers, OAK, DEN and Pitt. At home, teams vs winning records the Chiefs squeaked by or lost.

IMO the Pats have a nasty habit of playing down to their competition on the road but vs quality competition did OK.

You are in no position to judge anyone for being "stupid."
