Maybe before they create rules, they should give it to BB (and his coaches) and ask him how it will change the way he plays football. falling in love with your own idea and not inverting the thesis (i.e. challenge it from the opposing viewpoint and then attempt to counter those questions/views) is bound to lead you into trouble.

Better yet, get a bunch of 13 year olds who understand physics to tear it apart for you.

This is how it all begins. Goodell will now send out a "memo" to teams to stop doing it, BB will say no I'm following the rules as they're spelled out, Goodell then punishes BB/Pats for violating the spirit of the rule.

Unfortunately, I agree with you. The punishment will be because of integrity. If he wants he can suspend Gostkowski for general knowledge because of article 46.

The headline is click bait. The author was interviewed Saturday morning on Gasper and Murrayy. The piece was complimentary toward BB and the author was as well during the interview. The author didn't create the headline.

In the CFL, after a successful field goal, the team that was scored upon has the option of receiving a kickoff or start on offense from their own 35 yard line (CFL fields are 110 yards long).

If the NFL wants to somewhat eliminate some of these kickoffs, using the CFL rules would have been a better idea than what they came up with.
