For Anyone Concerned About The Pass Rush

Also we had 13 sacks in the first 8 games and 23 in the second half. The defense definately improved over the second half of the year. Lets hope they pick up where they left off and improve from there, which they should with the addition of Bodden, Dowling and Warren. Cunningham should also take a step forward having another year under his belt and this D taking time for young guys to learn.
The draft didnt go the way I was hoping but Im still excited that the team will be better next year and anyway, what the hell do I know about putting a team together.

It's no coincidence that the defensive numbers improved following the Cleveland game. That's when Brady began his tear, and that tear helped to cover for the defensive problems by putting opponents in more obvious situations.

Really? We give the D no credit for improving, it was all Brady? If the pass rush was so terrible you think they would be worse when teams were forced to throw.

Maybe we were weak in pass defense stats because teams had to throw all day to catch up. You see this works both ways.

You have to remember The Scrizz that it was the defense's fault that they made plays even in spite of the fact that the offense was on a tear.

I don't know how you are going to explain 70% to 57% completion percentage on defense being due to OUR QB.

Well, since the end of the argument is BB screwed up by not drafting defense then everything positive about the defense must be attributed to luck or unusual circumstance. How else do you go backwards from an answer when the facts get in the way?

Just work from the assumption that Tom Brady makes interceptions and sacks on the defense because he throws touchdowns for the offense.

I got it!! We will master the corner blitz!! Our new QB killer named Dowling.....

Exactly. Ausbacker, you are the problem. Therefore every bad post on this board was written only because someone read what you wrote, and every good one can only be because they ignored you.
See how fun this can be?

Oh yeah, and if you keep up giving answers that I dont like, and proving me wrong, I am going to say I am too good for you and pretend that I put you on ignore, so I can pretend I don't see your responses and don't have to be accountable to them. Even more fun, no?

I don't know why I'm allowed to post here to be honest. I really am that bad.

Only a homer couldn't see that.

Come at me bro.

Did the defense improve in the second half of the season? Sure but, as I said, it's no coincidence that it started after the Browns game. When you are playing from well ahead, you can tee off on your opponents, in the sense that you know they're passing most of the time, and you can play accordingly.

Also, you have the Bears game in the weather, and it was the second half of the season that saw the Jets and Bills lose in their comedy of errors games.
