Hes saving his best visit for last, Gillette stadium baby! :singing:

I doubt it.

Re: Florio: Peppers-to-Redskins "essentially a done deal"

I doubt it.

I know, just a lil bummed out I thought there would of been legit interest from the Pats. I hope they dont think resigning a couple of their players and drafting a bunch of rooks is the answer, if so its going to be a long season.

They'll be active, and given that they have three 2's I would expect them to have interest in some of the restricted guys.

I hope so, I think the success of the upcoming season depends on them being aggressive in all 3 phases of the off season.

RT @vxmcclure23 Lovie Smith just touched down in Charlotte to meet with Peppers and his agent. Smith will fly back to Chicago with them.

Love this Tweet crap ... I feel like I'm ringside ... in the limo and on that plane.

Wonder if a few Bear fans will be recruited to wait on the tarmac.

11, that's the new standard for Midwestern cities who lose the Super Bowl.

Good for Chicago, love that aggressive nature when you have a need and want something you go get it.

Yeah ... they could well go 8-8 instead of 7-9 now.

That's quite possible no doubt about it, but i can appriciate them doing what they feel is going to help their team the most no matter how much it costs them.

Re: Florio: Peppers-to-Redskins "essentially a done deal"

...and Florio's next headline will read

Florio: Peppers-to-Bears "essentially a done deal"
:bricks:

What is up with the dirt line above Sphincter's lip. :confused3:

Re: Florio: Peppers-to-Redskins "essentially a done deal"

If he signs with the Redskins, the funniest part will be when they still suck anyways.

Re: Florio: Peppers-to-Redskins "essentially a done deal"

Slightly OT.

But how the Hell is Lovie still in a job?

Signing Peppers is his last roll of the dice. He needs to win this year, so this move makes sense if it happens.

supposedly bears owners are cheap and hes got money left on his contract. all though the imminent signings seem to contradict the cheap theory

Re: Florio: Peppers-to-Redskins "essentially a done deal" [Update: Redskin out, Bears

I'm a bit skeptical of either the Bears or Redskins coming out on top in the Peppers saga. He's said all along that he wants to win, and, well, those teams might be better than Carolina will be, but neither of them is going to be sniffing a good playoff run. Either he cares less about winning and just wanted out of Carolina, or he'll keep looking at some teams with a better chance of winning before deciding.

(And I know about the final 8 clause putting some of the top teams out of reach for him.)

From Michael Lombardi on Twitter:
Peppers on his way to Chicago, not to visit the campus, but to sign deal.how many first visits do not result in a signing?Bears won this one
