I understand the word authorities (whoever those people are) had to update the definition of literally because so many people were using it to add emphasis rather than using it as defined, to clarify something as real and accurate. I think Ernie is heavily undervalued here. Ernie was a successful Wall St trader before he came to help the Pats. Well my hypothetical thinking there is if this was a game that mattered that wouldn't have been Gunner there. Would have been probably Agholor



Let's be fair here Gunner isn't in the NFL because of his receiving skills he's here because of his ST ability and his potential (much like Edelman stayed on the roster 3-4 years before getting a chance) So I don't think it's outlandish to say if Mac put that same ball in and it was someone like Agholor who is quicker (especially as a WR) could have gotten to that ball

I would actually be disappointed if Mac has a career similar to Bledsoe's regarding his sack-taking and turnover-making.

I'd be very happy if Mac has a career similar to Bledsoe's re. overall production and longevity. Drew was a top-5 Pats QB, IMO. But I suspect Mac's style of play will be much different, more "cerebral" where Drew was over-reliant on his rifle arm and not known as a student of the game.
