I have no problem with Favre playing until he is 100 if he wants and a team will employee him. My problem with him is how he handles the past few offseasons. He seems to be a real egomanic who needs it to be "All About Brett". How can he say he is definitely retired and then a few days later start to talk to the Vikings about joining them as their starting QB?
I can see why he retired at the beginning of the season to save the Jets the cap room and the face of wasting a third round draft pick on him only to cut him before free agency even started. The retirement allowed them to save some face in that they didn't have to admit their failure and with the addition of Sanchez, no one cares about Favre anymore in NY. But why then go and say he is still going to retire when he is looking at trainers and talking the the Vikings?
I think Favre has really tarnished his image possibly irrepairably damaging it. No one talks about his 3 MVPs anymore or his Super Bowl title or all his records, they talk about his yearly retirement and then unretirement trends that usually leave a wake where ever he is.
