Its likely not true because Belichick would not know a good WR if he tripped over him. Nevertheless, there is virtually nothing to discuss other than the earth shaking moves inside the Pats front office.

And all the people whining the Patriots didn’t draft DK give me a break… the guy broke his neck less than a year before the draft. N’Keal sucks, but there was a reason Metcalf fell in the draft.

This is correct. This board was super divided on the guy. His combine 3 cone and shuttle times were Brady-esque.

Tom Brady: 7.2 cone, 4.38 shuttle
DK Metcalf: 7.38 cone, 4.5 shuttle

It was far from a layup that this guy was going to be any good. And while we are at it, let's not make him out to be the savior. This guy had 75 receptions with HoF level QB last season. He has 101 more yards than Jacobi Meyers, who had 83 catches. Now before everyone jumps on me, they are not the same player, 100%. But let's make this guy out to be Ja'marr Chase, either. He's an upgrade over what is on the roster, to be sure, but he's not at the upper end of production in the NFL. He was drafted in the right spot, based on his production thus far.

I don't know anything about that Facebook group, but the Patsperfect Instagram page is run by a college-aged kid who is in no position to be telling us whether incarceratedbob is reliable or not. It was clear that IB was a fraud way back when he reported Nnamdi Asomugha to the Jets in 2011 when "Patsperfect" wasn't even a teenager yet.

I wanted no part of DK before the draft to be honest. The neck injury and the fact he seemed like a one trick pony scared me. It was not taking Deebo (who seemed to be universally thought to be the perfect Patriot) and AJ Brown which disappointed me.

He literally broke his neck in his final season in college, just months before the combine. People seem to forget that.

Sure, we should have taken Deebo, AJ Brown or even McClaurin over N’Keal… Metcalf in the first round was a massive risk, not some missed layup.
