Evaluating 25 FA signings at midseason mark:

This is why I scoffed at the “you can’t fix a team in one year” commentator the hope to get close to .500 now and maybe make the playoffs in 2027 crowd.

54% of all snaps on offense this year are players who were not Patriots last year.
57% of all snaps on D are players who were not here last year.

We turned over and improved more than half of the roster in one off season.

Maye
Stevenson
Boutte
Henry
Onwenu

Gonzalez
Barmore
Jones

Kept their jobs.

We kept 8 very good players and replaced the rest. In one off season.
Others who were starters became backups.

Another good position to target, yup. Although let's be honest about Stevenson/Henderson... right now if the goal is to win games you're talking about replacing Henderson for someone to pair with Rhamondre. Obviously there's that pesky fumble issue, but Stevenson otherwise has been good. Great pass pro, doing what he needs to do as a receiver and strong vision. They just haven't blocked well for him mostly. Henderson has been legit awful. We all love the potential but let's call a spade a spade and honestly evaluate how he's played so far - he sucks. I have faith he'll figure it out though.

Rachaad White stands out to me as a rushing and receiving back in free agency. Tyler Allgeier is more of a straight runner for that bell cow kind of role. I'd love to sign Allgeier as a guy to breakout away from ATL/Robinson (or break back out I should say as he's already been a solid starter), have Henderson as a speedier, receiving kind of back and Stevenson as a combo role type along with Gibson working his way back next year. BUT, if Henderson doesn't improve, a guy like White could be a better add to give you some of that multi faceted role that we're missing out on while Henderson is nothing for us right now. Have to see how that develops over the rest of this year to fully assess.
Yes, we will look for a RB or two

Sure wish we had kept J Peppers he didn't play himself out of a job.

He can't get on the field in Pittsburgh.
Seems like Vrabel made the right call.

Still a better depth guy than the ones we have. Peppers would start here: Dugger and his contract is just awful.

This is a big reason why they are 5-2. I don't see them slipping like 2021. Enjoy the ride to the #1 seed in the AFC.

Gotta start that Home cooking HFA. That was key to our First Dynasty: gotta beat good and bad Teams @ Home.

I put Davis and Spillane in the “little pricey for what they are” category but Pats had to overpay last offseason until they proved to be a serious franchise again.

Bradbury and Diggs I actually feel we are getting a LOT more put of both than I expected.

Everyone else I largely agree.

My bigger issue is sunk cost contracts handed out to middling to subpar players who Wolfe paid like all-pros (Mondre, Onwenu, Duggar).

But…nothing you can do about that now other than ride it to conclusion.

We have Six Home games remaining which would bring us to 11 wins. We can definitely win Two maybe Three more on the Road...and I'm not looking ahead.

We could part ways with all Three next year. But if Rham and Onwenu plays good down the stretch; we can live with them. But Dugger and K White are gone baby gone.

A+ to me. Davis is a little disappointing but still been okay overall. To say theres no big regrets with the large amount we spent is pretty insane because theres alot we could have screwed up. usually there would be at least a couple big misses. And the underrated finds like tonga, bradbury, chiasson who didn’t thrive on their old teams (at least not recently in bradbury’s case) the way they are in your program are the signs of a stud FO.

That looks familiar right?? That's how the past Dynasty did it: Vrabel was paying attention. Do you think we pull a Trade or stay Pat no pun??

I keep trying not to have flashbacks to 2021, but then I see posts like yours...

Furrrr sure. The tricky part of building through FA so heavily is that there can be a lot of 1-2 year deals. We need to draft really well the next 2 years to find long term replacements in order to have sustained success and increase top end talent at a good price. A classic build vs buy conundrum.
