Ok cool. I’d agree on those concepts right out the gate. I don’t know Ryan very well, I remember him to be an ass all the time but I hope he does not have these afc contacts they are speculating about
No it wasn’t a report it was his opinion. Based on nothing but the fact that belichick has nothing left to prove so he should just say to hell with it all.

Joe Banner showing why he is no longer an NFL GM.

Apparently Banner seems to forget that the tagged player can't be traded until he signs his tag, and why would Jimmy G decide to immediately cooperate if he found out that Belichick was going to trade him to Cleveland when other teams' agents can reach out to him (which they can before he signs his franchise tender) and tell him they want him?

Matt Cassel was a special case because there were still a lot of people skeptical about him -- a 7th rounder who didn't start in college, suddenly looking ok in the NE offense. He also lucked out into having two teams needing QBs who were literally just staffed by former Patriots guys (Pioli in KC, Josh in Denver with the Cutler situation) and coincidentally those were the two teams that were interested in Cassel. No assurance that would happen this would happen this year around the trade deadline; even now it only looks like Patricia is leaving and he already has a QB.

Banner and BB have a history.

Additionally Banner was never a cap guy.

Moving on. Not a credible source of knowledge

I didn’t say it wasn’t censorship - because if you want to be technical, yes, any post removal is “censorship” - I simply said that I don’t believe we are censoring very much by trying to keep threads on topic and removing personal attacks.

I know you don’t agree with it and I’m sorry you feel that way. But I do not see how trying to keep people from fighting and affecting the experience for all posters negatively is a bad thing.

I could get into more of this, but it's obvious that it would be useless. We've now got activists for mods, and the site is getting the poorer for it.

Edit: And the people clowning themselves with the disagrees and dislikes help to make my point.

Do you mean you believe he will leave then?
Losing B.B. would be a catastrophe beyond my imagination. He is not replaceable at all and look at the next best coach, he is not even in the same galaxy. I truly wish Ryan would not talk about anything

I don’t disagree on how good Belichick is, he can’t be replaced by 1 person, however I think the quality of the program he has put in place can keep them successful for years to come. I believe Caserio understands all aspects of this program and he has the contacts in the league and knowledge of personnel to keep them st a high level. It will never be like the Belichick/Brady era but nothing ever will be.

It’s a tough position, RossMod, but your position is to see to the well-being of the site whether any or none agrees with you.

The Ignore button is censorship as well which I’ve never partaken. But many find it useful if not necessary.

Unfortunately with general anonymity there are always going to be dishonest posters (trolls). Fans of other teams have always been welcome if they show love of their team in an open and thoughtful discourse.

The ignore button is an individual deciding who he wants to interact with. It is not the authority shutting down speech.

Huge difference

Shutting down trolls is not shutting down speech.

Huge difference.

Ahh. Ok, damn man the boogies are coming out of the woodwork all of a sudden. B.B. has not had anything to prove in my mind since xlix with Seattle and after last year, nah nothing at all but I believe he wants a sixth ring, after that, who knows?

I felt kind of taken aback that another coach was saying this but now I see we don’t have to believe this guy. Thank god

Are you reporting a rift between Patsfans and their mods? With some internecine rifts among the Patsfans as well?

We should have another bastille day!!

Lol

My advice, fwiw is to pay no mind to all that as it’s something we can’t control. Can’t waste time on things like that.

What do you do with trash?
You take it out and sit it by the curb. It’s all good.

Ah, here we go! Rock star Peterman with the game tying TD! Lol

I made it through that whole exercise in futility. Good lord.

1. I’m sure there is tension most of the time “in the building.” BB goes out of his way to create pressure on his players. I’m sure some get sick of it, and I’m sure some need to vent, and some hate that environment, so there are probably some people who spoke with Wickersham. I’m guessing at least the trainers, because who else is going to report the TB12 door being locked, and who else would want to discredit Guerrero?

2. Also, some of the stuff about Guerrero has the ring of truth to it, though not the locked door crap. He didn’t get kicked out for no reason. Occupational hazard for snake oil sales staff.

3. IMO BB is not going anywhere right now, especially if NE wins another Lombardi this year. His kids work with him, he’s a deity in this area, he has total control with a great support group which he would have to replicate, and he would have a shot at a threepeat. So that part seems like BS.

4. Brady remains our best shot at more Lombos. He probably has a couple years left at best (remember, RKK, BB, and Brady reportedly all know when he plans to hang it up). There was no way NE could keep both QB unless Jimmy took a huge discount, which wasn’t going to happen. I do not believe that Kraft told BB to trade Jimmy because he didn’t have to, the decision was really already made unless they wanted to just get the compensatory third for Jimmy. Nobody in their right mind would trade two years plus the rest of this year of Brady for X amount of years of Jimmy, who will almost certainly be inferior to Brady. So that part seems like BS. (BTW I don’t accept Kraft saying that he didn’t say that as proof he didn’t, neither should anyone else.)

5. Haters are going to hate, not sure why we have to ban them when we have a fully functional ignore button. Seriously, if you can’t identify and enjoy the obvious trolls you probably could use a break from social media. And Wickersham does have the peculiar odor of the troll around him. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple Patsfans avatars change to his face.

Let's put this into perspective. The ostensible dysfunction of this franchise is better than the success of most of the other franchises put together. The Patriots are a small, manageable house fire in a mansion while dreg franchises like the Jets, Bills, Browns, etc are wastelands. This mansion will still be hosting a couple of parties real soon. The wastelands will remain dead. These stories are just a source of envy to those facts.

Even if there's like 5% truth to Wickersham's claims of internal strife, can you imagine how pissed off BB and TB must be that a mediot is broadcasting such a personal issue to the public? And we know that pissing off BB and TB always works so well for the other 31.

And on the other hand, if there is 0.0% truth to this story, that will piss off BB and TB even more!

So thanks Wickersham! You've basically just dug the graves of the remaining payoff teams. Tool.

Even if there's "like" 50% chance that...he "like" isn't sure,he should be "like" ok

My opinion is that there is no more tension this season than any other and this is just TMZ stuff for headlines.
The Guerrero situation alone has upped the tension level. BB essentially tossed TB12 Sports out of the building. Guerrero's "In my own words" letter was his attempt to defend / minimize damage to their business.

Because Gurrero himself isn't there? I don't buy that. His business is still in Patriot place.

Last year Brady was suspended, the year before that drama about football pressure, a few years ago Gronk drama, Moss drama. Supposedly in 2006 Brady was mad about Deion Branch. Hell there was even a brief Cassel is QB of the future talk.

It's something every year, if anything this year is notable for the lack of drama.
