If Brady was was 9 td 2 int and a 95+rating over his last 5 games instead of 6tds 5 int this story wouldn't have so much juice....face it, yes I know they're 13-3, but brady has not looked good the last 5 or 6 weeks...

Many reasons for that. I think he hasn't been 100 percent. Also some of his wrs haven't gotten open including cooks.

Let me put it a different way, based on the past 5 games which player seems to have more upside over the next 10 years?

Which one was under contract for 2018?

It depends on how you look at it.

When you are refuting a story you NEVER say all of it is untrue. Its a calculated response.

Look- I'm not to parse every single word from the presser and put a microscope under it and speculate its weight and hidden meaning.

They said the piece was exaggerated, unsubstantiated and flat-out inaccurate with fallacies.

I suggest be satisfied with it and watch the games.

this stuff just is good for the bye week.. none of it matters.. its why train wrecks and dumster fires are interesting...

I just find this so funny to me.

“Oh you don’t like anonymous sources? Well like 100 other anonymous people told me they love it.”

NAME NAMES. SHOW US THE DMs.

And you'd be correct. That's why my denial in your scenario -- and the NE statement in real life -- carry no information whatsoever. They would be issued, word-for-word the same, regardless of the truth or falsity of the accusation they are responding to.

If true that would make it no different than ESPN’s story, they don’t care about the veracity of it, only the attention it generates.

Then again some here only care that it reflects poorly on Brady, Belichick, Kraft, and the Patriots. They are so butthurt over Garrapolo being traded that they want the worst for the team.

Honestly, the more I see of him the more I think that he is just an insecure little air puffer. Like after the Seahawks' stories, whenever he gets pushed back he just goes "oh, but all these other anonymous people tell me how awesome I am!".

and yet Brady has missed far more games over his career, which is about as valid as your comment.

Bad things can happen when a defender gets a good hit on a QB, it happened to Brady's knee and Jimmy G's shoulder, but that doesn't change the fact that one is 40 and the other 26.

Are you kidding me ? What good hit ? The entire shoulder injury was JGs fault. He held the ball for far too long and then had no clue how to fall properly. He put himself into the position to be injured and it happened. There is nothing unfortunate about it.

It is not fortune or coincidence that Brady has barely missed a single game in his career for injury reasons except for when his ACL was taken out. Because he actually spends time on things like learning to fall in a way that protects himself from serious injury or going to ground if it is not absolutely do-or-die time.

Does this mean he will never get injured ? No, of course not but if you dont want to get wet from rain you better leave with an umbrella. If you get caught in the rain without, then it is not unfortunate but on you for not being prepared.

Here's an even better (non-hawt) take:

Lol. So some national ESPN prick who seems to specialize in writing mysterious "controversy" articles about teams seemingly out-of-nowhere puts up a piece saying the core of the team's divorce is imminent, but ESPN's own beat reporter for that same team who may be more plugged into the team than any other reporter except maybe a couple others says he "has not been told or seen any indication" that that would happen.

So who do you believe? The national guy with no apparent direct connections to the team with "anonymous staffer" sources who annually writes "HOT TAKE" controversy stories, or the guy whose sole job is literally to just cover that one team?

Or brady has had one bad game and in the other 5 won 4 by 18+ and beat a 13-3 team at their home.

there are also some things called "will" and "guts" with Brady
