ESPN "apologizes"

He said they incorrectly cited a 2002 report about the Patriots. Is he talking about the (proven false) Tomase article or something else? That was a 2008 report so I wasn't sure what he was referring to.

oh yeah, I'm sure all the people who saw the prime-time false report were up watching sportscenter past midnight last night to see this!

Someone must have contacted the Patriots and let them know what ESPN was doing. I had said someone should do so in the Hannah Storm thread. This is what it leads to. Wish Levy would have expanded on what the incorrect report was in regards to, though.

EDIT: Why a dislike for this, @NJPatsfan26?

Hannah Storm or somebody just recently mentioned it when talking about how the Pats cheat.

He was talking about the ******** Hannah Storm was spewing the other day.

And you'll notice how vague they were about what they were apologizing for. Like I said... Asshats.
They are a piece of work...

It wasn't just the Hannah Storm thing,

Agreed, he didn't mention at all what they were apologizing for except for a '2002 report'. WTF is that crap. Why even bother with the correction at all, it didn't clear anything up. I can't wait for this company to go belly up.

Well the fact that they even did this says they got a letter from the Patriots legal counsel. No way in hell they would have just decided to apologize out of the blue.

Super Bowl 36 , Feb 2002, was the Patriots-Rams game.
John Tomase falsely accused the Patriots of taping Rams practices, and reported it in 2008.
Tomase's legacy lives on.
