He doesn’t have much speed but is a great tackler.

Can't run at all but he far from a hinderance out there. I'm not advocating him playing every snap but on early downs in run situations I wouldn't mind seeing him out there. With that being said the Falcons tried to play the hardo role and "establish the run" when it obviously wasn't working.

Harris a few steps slower now but makes up for some of it with his smarts and desire. Agree that he is not an every down player but there are spots he can give Hightower a breather. And maybe he'll have to play most of the next couple of games.

Bryan Cox 2.0

Not much cat like quickness but strong and smart.

Apparently speed is incredibly overrated when you've got the best/smartest coaches in the league.

Remember how everyone was ****ting their pants at the mere thought of Atlanta's fast offense, especially the RBs, vs NE's "slow and unathletic" defense?
We need more Cat like quickness however until the cats arrive, we will rely on the coaches.

Shades of Bryan Cox with Harris. He plays with a violence that we don't have on defense.
Did he even play today? He isn't credited with a single tackle in the box score.

I liked what I saw from Harris today. He recognizes plays and tendencies far better than KVN does. I think he should wear the green dot from now on. Yes he is a liability in coverage, but his communication skills more than make up for it. KVN is best when his responsibilities are one-dimensional (e.g. "force") or on the edge not when he has to worry about recognizing plays. Harris has a decade on KVN as far as recognizing the play or call, anyway.

He also had a play where he basically blew up a pass to Gordon which would have probably got the 1st and instead brought up 3rd and 3 which the Chargers committed a penalty and then J. Jones had the pass breakup

So he hand a big hand in stopping 2 of SD's 10 drives.

He destroyed a dude in the backfield on the play where Rivers fumbled the ball and lost 20 yards. Blew up a run play...the two plays where I noticed him.

What was the snap count for Harris? I don't think he made the stat sheet, looks like Roberts will be the one getting Hightowers snaps

He absolutely destroyed Melvin Gordon on that blitz. Just straight bull rushed right through him forcing Rivers to scramble and then just let go of the ball. One of the more underrated plays of that game. The Chargers were driving and just about in field goal range until Harris pressure forced Rivers into a mistake stalling that drive to bring up 3rd and 31.

Harris is being used in coverage over Roberts. He looked pretty stout today when he was on the field

At least he likes to play and is physical. I award him an A for yesterday. He was unslothlike.

Harris is a smart lb and is fine in zone coverage. He isn’t going to be called upon to cover a 200 lb speed RB out if the backfield, not should he be.
