Love hangs on to the ball way too long. Maye anticipates better than Love even as a rookie.

I see Brett Favre, especially with Maye's penchant for a "what the **** was he thinking throw?" each game. If Maye's career in NE is about the same as Favre's in GB, we have a big time winner. Playoffs just about every year plus a super bowl win. But I have zero faith in Krafty Bob to splash the cash and surround Maye with appropriate NFL talent.

I still hold the hope that Kraft isn't getting younger, and will take the road of "I ain't f***ing around", Tom and Drew were like sons to me too.

Kraft must know that higher level brain trust is available.

I think he remained in the background, and is a bit underrated/overlooked for what he did, which was mostly staying out.

This would be a big move for Kraft, sort of the type of move that men like him do from his generation.

Honestly, I would ask Brady to GM this team and mentor Maye. He did a great job adding the missing pieces to Tampa and won them their first Superbowl in decades. All you need is buy in and commitment and Tommy knows how to run a winning team more than any QB who ever played in this league.

Also I would FIRE all of our current WR scouts. Every SINGLE ONE OF THEM and then hire new ones who have proven track records.

Super Bowl winning QBs are unbelievably rare - there's been exactly 34 of them. Maye could have a hall of fame career and never even play in a Super Bowl. His emergence is great, the best thing to happen to this franchise in 6 years, but we can't annoint the dude yet.

We need to understand that we are lucky as **** if Maye's peak is Phillip Rivers, or Steve McNair, or pre-Rams Matthew Stafford.

He needs to win games and become prolific at winning games. Thats what Brady had and now you see it in Mahomes.
everything outside of that is just chatter. To be truly great you have to find a way to win. Very few QBs have that quality. Lots of great ones have been lost along the way trying to develop it. Marino, Kelly, etc.
