Drake Maye comps

If he is as good as Romo & Vick were, would you consider that a success?
Great question! I’d consider it a success and a disappointment. Both of those guys with the right talent around them can get you there. A lot has to go their way, but they can get you to the playoffs. I’d see it as a disappointment too though because I feel like he could be so much more. A lot has to go his way to get there but he can be special.

I still hold the hope that Kraft isn't getting younger, and will take the road of "I ain't f***ing around", Tom and Drew were like sons to me too.

Kraft must know that higher level brain trust is available.

I think he remained in the background, and is a bit underrated/overlooked for what he did, which was mostly staying out.

This would be a big move for Kraft, sort of the type of move that men like him do from his generation.

PS sorry I hijack every thread into get rid of these guys!
Don't be sorry. This is the #1 issue facing the team. Will Kraft realize and admit to himself he made a huge error, and even if he's not sure, is waiting years to resolve that uncertainty worth it? The resounding answer is no. This season has been bad enough for a reasonable owner to make a move. I'm worried that Kraft is elderly and not all there. Elderly people often don't think clearly.

Jonathan Kraft really bothers me I hate silent partners.

There’s a distinct possibility Maye goes down the Andrew Luck or Joe Burrow road where his offensive line is so poor his entire career that his career ends prematurely due to injuries.
Agreed. But I hope you're wrong, as I'm sure you do as well.

I've been debating whether to post this comp for a while, but whatever. When I see Drake Maye play, I can't help but think of Peyton Manning in terms of his demeanor, his processing speed, his arm and his aggression. Plus, he's mobile. Obviously he's not as well-developed as Manning was coming into the league, but that's my impression. With weapons, he'd have the defense on its heels, just like Peyton. If Kraft sells the team and we get ownership that wants to win games and not reward schmoozing and trips to Israel, Maye could have multiple 50+ TD (combined passing & rushing) seasons. Allen is the most popular comp, but I think Maye will prove to be the better passer.
He has an element that I saw early on in TB12.. the guys has is fierce competitor. He has an arura about him. He has the ability to break down defenses with his Arm and running his running abilities. He's our next great QB in Foxborough.

Another similarity with Brady is other teams' fans will be late to the party. Until Brady got Moss and Welker it was game manager, Manning is better etc.
Since they are not winning games and not playing in prime-time other teams' fans are not realizing the level Maye is playing at. Other teams' fans are going to be so pissed when they find out how good Maye is, can't wait LOL.

I will say Brady's intensity was at another level though. His work ethic was ridiculous and expected so much from his teammates I think he scared them into working at it as much as he did. There will Never be another Brady, but we don't need that, as no other team will have a Brady either.

No dog stuff though. Then yes.
Well, at this point he's topped Vick's best season in running yards per carry by a quarterback. I'll be checking the internet to see if Maye owns a kennel.

The worst thing you can have in an owner is a fanboy of the players...

Partners, farts, all the same.
I dig your New England Browns pic, but since we have a lot of Green Bay ties can we please normalize the New England Brown Packers. It has a ring to am I right?

That does intrigue me - how to go about mingling elements of the three teams. If inspiration strikes I might even try a traditional Photoshopping.

Brown England Packriots?

New England Browneye Packers

You hope he doesn't become a gunslinger that keeps both teams in games. Generally speaking, those QB's don't win many SB's.
Those QBs are so good that they tend to force things. Not doing that is what separated Brady from the rest.
