Objectively speaking, that Wonderlic score from Jackson is red flag to run the Patriots offense right?
Brissett, Jimmy G, Cassel, Mallett ( is he still in the league) Hoyer......it can make for a long servicable career...
Or he did prep and still did horribleOr his agent ( his mother IIRC) didn't prep him to take it. Like any standardized test, if you do enough of them it helps boost your score. Don't do them and it is more difficult...

I completely agree. You get what I’m saying though, right? I mean damn, following behind Brady is gonna be an extremely tough act to follow after the honeymoon period is over. The media in that town will love ya for a minute, but first chance they get, they’ll eat you alive.Seems to me that "balls of steel" is pretty much a requirement, regardless.
So if Jimmy had a 5th year you would have the same conundrum next yearFWIW, there is value in taking one in the first rd so we get a fifth year option. We'd still have Jimmy right now if he had been taken in the first.
If we are picking at 31 and there is a defensive player and qb we like it might make sense to hope that defender is there at 41 and take the qb.

Why does anyone think that. Garoppolo would sign for 13 millionYeah; I was using Blake Bortles, who I temporarily forgot was #10 (the Jaguars traded up to get him). Still doesn't change the fact that the Pats may not have been willing to pay Garoppolo $13M to sit on the bench for another year.

Have there been comments by previous coaches or players about his football intelligence? I was surprised y this score too. Everything Ive read is that he knew his offense inside-out, is mature and a great leader. I’m not entirely sold on him as a QB in this league, but still surprised at this development. It doesn't automatically mean failure (Caserio is scouting him today), but Jesus, that is low.
Do you think Caserio will put him through a sit down and go over the whiteboard? Are they even allowed to do that at pro days?I dont think anyone cares as much about the wonderlich as they do about the interviews and what the coaching staff, trainers and former teammates have to say about a potential QB.

If only they kept Brissett.Ugh, I hate the idea of drafting someone high who won't contribute immediately. Apart from Brady, the whole quarterback issue with this team is a pain in the butt.

Jackson won't be a patriot
