    #23 = 760
    #31 = 600
    Total = 1360

    #9 = 1350

Doesn't seem like the Niners would be doing the Pats any huge favor by accepting "only" the #23 + #31 for the #9.

If the Niners were willing to accept the #23 + #43 (470) + a 6th-rounder (total = approx. 1240), that would be doing the Pats a solid. The 8.9% discount granted by the Niners in such a deal would be well within the historical range of deviations from standard chart values for trades into the lower Top-10, so it's not out of the question.

BTW ... It may (or may not) be worth noting that the 5th-year option salaries for prospects selected in the top ten are nearly Franchise Tag level, which kinda offsets that 5th-year option advantage from the team's perspective.

Todd Haley has a job?! He's like the Gregg Williams of the offensive side.

Oh, s**t! Gregg Williams is the Browns' DC!

If Hue Jackson doesn't drink, he should probably start soon.

The saddest day for Detroiters is Nov 22, 1963. That was the day William Clay Ford bought the Lions.

He’d probably make better in-game adjustments drunk.

That's assuming that Dorsey allows Jackson authority over anybody higher than an equipment manager. It seems like it's the "Dorsey Show" over there now.

Dorsey can't stop with Williams and Haley at this point; he needs go for the trifecta. Jackson will get canned after starting 1-3, Jeff Fisher will be hired as head coach and the coordinators will stay.

Watch out for the Dolphins and Vander Esch, at least according to Tony Pauline who says if they don’t trade up for a QB and Roquan and Edmunds are gone, Vander Esch is their guy. Also, I suspect Vander Esch might be favourite for the Cowboys too.

I'm guessing that this might stop Rosen's perceived slide as a team like Buffalo has more capital than the Pats and might be more willing to trade up for a QB.

The #5 is listed at 1700 points. Buffalo's #22 + #12 (from Cincy) total 1980. So, eminently do-able from that perspective.

The thing is, what QB-needy teams are they jumping ahead of at #5?

    Indy at #6?
    Tampa at #7?
    Chicago at #8?
    The Niners at #9
    Raiders at #10?

    Maybe Miami at #11.

The Fins could take the #5 from Denver for their #11 and sole 2nd-rounder, #42 (or the #11 and their 2019 1st) as a means to shutting the Bills out of the Top-5. The Bills would then be forced to trade all the way up to #2.

But that's just the QB Sweepstakes. Another team may want to line jump for a prospect at a different position.

Hannable: Potential Patriots QB target Luke Falk is diehard Tom Brady fan — all the way to TB12 Method

All of his Washington State teammates were aware of his Brady obsession — although it wasn't hard to hide, as Falk constantly walked around campus wearing a TB12 hat.

“Oh my gosh, don’t get me started with that,” offensive lineman Cole Madison, who was also at the NFL combine, said. “Everything Tom Brady. ‘Tom Brady this, Tom Brady that. Tom Brady does this, so this is what we should do.’ He is ride or die Tom Brady, for sure.”

Added wide receiver Tavares Martin: “He loves Tom Brady. Everything single thing about him, every little detail about him.”

Falk was so obsessed, his teammates loved to poke at him when the Patriots and Brady had a bad game.

“Everyone looked forward to when the Patriots didn’t have a good game and everyone could look forward to going up to him and giving him crap about it,” Madison said. “It’s all in good fun, though.”

This past Super Bowl was the worst for Falk.

“After the Super Bowl, I was pretty heart-broken,” he said. “I got like 20 phone calls and they got under my skin a little bit.”
