We're not just talking about leaving the pocket. We're talking about extending plays within the pocket. Is that no longer something Cam can do all of a sudden? I guess let's just agree to disagree. I won't believe that teams are just going to play man against the Patriots on every dropback because the receivers suck with a QB like Cam. Strategy is never that simplistic in football.

I would certainly start the game in man coverage until Cam shows that he can consistently avoid the rush and run for 1st downs...Otherwise, I see no reason to switch unless I'm anticipating more screen passes as the game progresses...

The screen game has to be option 1 for NE.
Relying on a career 60% passer on a new team with no preseason game reps to successfully execute down field to mostly neophyte pass catchers with separation issues and no vertical speed....

WR Gunner Olszewski (foot) has been ruled out by the Patriots. WR N'Keal Harry (shoulder), CB Jonathan Jones (foot), TE Dalton Keene (neck), LB Cassh Maluia (knee), and DE Chase Winovich (shoulder) all got in at least a limited practice Friday and are listed as questionable.
