Like the wildcat plays, Meyers or Bourne throwing, philly special and plays like those we've seen in recent weeks. Feels like we've seen more of them than usual this and last year. I know Josh likes reaching in the bag of tricks when he feels his offense needs a jump start.

I don't like it but if Josh is talking like this it sounds like we're going to see a lot of them this year.

Pats were 1 of 3 with trick plays Sunday. The two that failed seemed to be high risk and the Bourne throw just barely made it over the reach of the Jets defender facing him.

As long as we still have some tricks up our sleeves in more important moments than Jets or Texans games, I think it's what this offense needs to make up for a lack of top end skill position talent.

I think we'll start to see less of them once the offense shows some week to week stability. As it is, they serve two purposes: 1) They "steal" you some yards and points, and 2) They're really FUN for the players to work on and execute (when they work). Helps cut down on the grind and get some players juiced.

Yeah they work a high percentage of the time and we are a pretty bad offense. The RB pass at the goal line seems to work every time. We outta try one.

I LOVE them.

Keeps the defense honest and they are fun to watch.

Historically they've always been part of the offense. Faulk to TB vs MIA in 2001 in Dec, Patton to Troy in Indy same year, etc.

BOB wasn't a big gadget guy but Charlie was

Just win baby.

I like it. If we have a couple of WRs who can throw the ball well, might as well use it. Not worried about "showing it too early" as we don't have the luxury of saving it as in years past. Also, you can always throw variations on those looks and still confuse teams going forward. At this point, I almost think the more tricks we can throw out there the better. Give opposing defenses more to think about and process.

I hope this is true. Chargers run D is bad. Let’s see them beat a good team.
This offense has the potential to be incredibly efficient and consistent. As long as the line protects and makes a few holes in the running game the sky is the limit.

I don't think they are as good as what we saw Sunday but def not a bad as NO or the MIA game.

Chargers have a decent pass defense. We'll see how it goes.

Over/under if A$ante Samuel Sr. says anything before/after the game?

many teams seem to install a few each week, tailored to their opponent.....i think it breaks up the doldrums a little....

i'm ok throwing one out there here and there when they get the look they want.......most seem to be designed with a 'if they aren't open just throw it away' mentality, you don't seem to see many disastrous ones truly happen much

I like them, especially if the frequency causes defenses to misidentify a formation as a "trick" when it's not. Could open up the receivers more.

Seems to be happening a little to often , would like them to be surprise plays not just trick play
