to paraphrase the great Peter Frampton, are you also feeling we're 'Super?'

No idea... but I'm not taking off my jersey today. #12 is the new S on my chest.

My son asked for and is getting a Julian Edelman jersey for Christmas.

I'm feeling like focusing on the Buffalo Bills. <sipping Kool-Aid>

Yes I do!

We have beat the number one seed in the AFC this year and we have beat last years SB champs. We have been through a gauntlet of adversity (incluing murder charges, major injury, and large deficits) this year that hopefully has made us better and ready for any challenge still to come. And we still have TB12 and BB at the helm so I see no reason that this team cant win the SB.

Yes and Im glad you brought this up. This team is very much like the 2001 ball club. 2001 had FAs playing together at a high level, but this team has 2013 rookies playing at a high level.

2001 -11th
2013 -5th ranked offense - The Pats are very balanced on offense. In fact, the NE run game is so underrated. The WR options are spread across the board - Edelman, Almendola, Dobson, Thompkins, Vereen and Bolden. Edelman has seen the most of the work, but Brady has spread the ball around this season.

2001 - 13th
2013 - 21st ranked defense - Watching this defense one would never guess that theyre 21st in the NFL. The Pats defense is MUCH better than its ranking because they play bend dont break. The pass defense is definitely improved and thats what you must have in the post season when you face Super Bowl contending passing offenses. Most teams want to pass the ball and get points on the board in a hurry. Pass to get ahead and run to win.

2001 - 5th
2013 - 3rd ranked Special Teams

Its all right here: FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | 2013 TEAM EFFICIENCY RATINGS

Another similarity is that in 2001 NE was looking for a punter and found Steve Walter who was outstanding. Releasing Mesko and signing Allen has been just as good of a move.

Not telling you what to do, just offering my advice. You might want to wait until the team invests in him long term before investing in his jersey.

I don't really feel any different than I did a week ago, other than the improved liklihood of a bye makes me more confident.
The W yesterday puts us in a better position to have an easier path.
The way the game went will mean nothing positive or negative when we take the field 1/11 and beyond.
We are the same team today we were a week ago, all that has changed is perception.

these guys def don't

Had a busy day yesterday and didn't see any pre-game stuff.

Did anybody pick the Pats at all?

The Patriots have thoroughly entertained me in 2013.

Been sampling the song on iTunes all afternoon long. Seems to fit the loosely-goosey but supremely confident way the Pats played yesterday

In today's NFL one game's performance means little for the next game ...

I'm in 2001 mode right now ... I'm enjoying the ride with no expectations.

I'm trying to follow your lead as much as I can, but there's something about a 12-4 season along with getting that bye, that makes one increase their expectations; and that isn't even bringing the whole comeback factor nor the BB/Brady aspect into account.

Even Mike Reiss picked the Ravens, if that tells you anything. Normally, he's pretty optimistic.

Can you blame anyone outside of the Patriots fan base for picking the Ravens? Patriots DL and OL were missing key components along with serious TE/WR and Secondary injury issues. Plus it was in Baltimore, a hot Baltimore team, where Brady has frequently been given a unwelcome reception. Add to that we BARELY beat a poor Cleveland team and getting beat by Miami.

All in all it was a pretty sound pick to go with the Ravens. The one thing they disregarded was betting against BB in December has a long track record of being a historically bad move.......
