Good to see Bear up and about at the team practice.

Actually the clot passes through the right side of the heart and lodges in the lungs. If enough of the lung circulation is occluded, the right heart fails and the patients suffers circulatory collapse.

Yeah, heart to lungs and lungs to heart. I was recalling the 1999 Thomas cause of death from memory.

Bottom line is that Thomas had blood clots in his lungs.

After the conclusion of the Chiefs' 1999 season, Thomas was involved in a car accident during the 1999–2000 NFL playoffs that left him paralyzed from the chest down. Days later, he died from a blood clot that developed in his paralyzed legs and traveled to his lungs, causing a pulmonary embolism.

Beloved teammate but probably the easiest position on offense to replace.

Back in my day these pantywaist players didn't let a few lung clots stop them from showing up with their lunchpail.

You know Wikipedia cites sources, right? Triumph is usually wrong but don't talk **** on Wikipedia.

Triumph could be one of the sources....so he's likely citing himself.

That, and the fact that I live in KC and recall the exact day of the accidental and the day Thomas died.

Other than that youre about as accurate as Elijah. Better than nothing.

Any memorable or intelligent thought you have is "accidental."

Wikipedia isn't always the best source but he's right about what happened to Thomas.
