It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I still think Revis can be a really good corner but he has to be going up against the right kind of WR. Speed guys will just destroy him deep, quick twitch guys like Edelman can be very good against him as well with quick acceleration and cutting. Bigger physical WR's more possession type I think he can still play good against. Just my opinion...
I joined right before the '14 SB. Had I been an actual member I would, have posited that he had lost a step in '14. It wasn't totally noticeable but there were some tells. Like putting him on Reggie Wayne instead of T.Y. I can't totally remember the other instances but it struck me. He was still, very, very good but something was off.
2 years later he is a shell of himself insofar as elite level Revis.
Similar things can be said about any CB in the NFL. If he just got the perfect matchup, he'd be great. Except the other team game plans so that won't happen.
He needs to move to FSI don't think regular stats are a good way to judge football players (it's not baseball) so contrived ones like that, for reasons like mentioned, are hard to put much stock in.
On another note Toastvis beaten for 84 yard td by marquise Goodwin
Football is a game of match ups, if I'm the Jets I put him against someone he can keep up with, not someone with Olympic type speed and expect him to go stride for stride.
....and if he didn't have safety help he would have been killedSay what you will about Kyle Arrington, in three or four matchups with Hilton, he shut him down. With safety help of course.
This by definition means he's not a good corner. A guy isn't "a great corner" if he can only cover a small % of the WR's. By your own argument, he's a lousy corner.
A good corner can cover anyone.Browner when with the Pats could only cover TE's and bigger more possession type WR's, that was the whole idea with him. I say he was a good corner when with the Pats, when used correctly.
That may be extreme but you can't leave him in man without help very oftenHe needs to move to FS

It's like saying a LT who handles slow bull rushers but gets beaten by speed guys all the time is a good LT because he is good at sonething.
No. He was ok. He made some plays. He was very limited. If he was out there as a #2 corner full time needing to be a real corner he would have been awful. As it was he was a penalty machine. So Browner wasn't a good corner in 14.
Winning the bidding war that the Pats had pretty much elected not to participate in is the most meaningful Jets 'win' in about 5 years.
The only game they won against a winning team was us when we played like we were afraid if our own offense. Very overrated team.I saw an interesting stat about the Jets. Last season they had 10 wins and it was the MOST they had in 6 seasons. For the Pats 10 wins is the LEAST they've had in 13 years and they only did it twice.
