I am a big Penn St fan and HUGE fan of Hamilton and think he would fit well here. Big body can go up and get the ball and make people miss.

6'1..203

214 receptions, 2,842 receiving yards, and 18 receiving touchdowns in 4 yrs at PSU

Projected in the 4th

I think he is someone the Pats really like. Either in the 2nd or 3rd round. He won’t be around in the 6th round when the Pats pick next.

Penn State fan here as well. Hamilton is very good and I think he’s still growing into his potential. Would welcome the pick.

He can have a Branch/Mitchell year 1 impact and be had in the 3rd round.

This draft is deep with supporting cast WR2/3s. Honestly is a good fit for what we need.

He reminds me of Stevie Johnson. Underwhelming physical attributes but a very good, technical route runner. And he's supposed to be the best person in the entire draft.

I'm just not sure his shuttles and 3-cone would make him draftable for the Patriots. Then again, he's around the 67th percentile for both and Aaron Dobson was like a 10th percentile athlete (so was Michael Floyd). I'd prefer him over Christian Kirk, but not over Anthony Miller.

Seems like his parents couldn't decide on DaSean vs DeSean so they just went with DaeSean.

OK, let me be the first to say that the patriots will draft in the 4th and/or the 5th rounds.

Prob have to use 63 on him. Doubt he lasts til the end of Round 3. I’d also have no prob with Gesicki - TE -PSU

Mike Gesicki is a beast..would love him on the Pats. Man that O was stacked the past 2 years with Barkley..Hamilton, Trace, Mike G and Godwin now in TB

This is a good game tape on DSH to watch . championship game, good D.

Apart from making all those contested clutch catches . I particularly like his attitude on plays when the ball doesn't go to him . how quickly and intelligently he engages in helping the play (blocking for Barkley from behind f.e.)

Looks like a smart, tough, passionate team player.

Dobson (6026/210): 4.33 shuttle ... 7.19 3-cone
- drafted 2nd round, #59 (2013)

Mitchell (5115/200): 4.34 shuttle ... 6.94 3-cone
- drafted 4th round, #112 (2016)

Hamilton (6005/203): 4.15 shuttle ... 6.84 3-cone
- projected late-3rd to late-4th

Terrible blocker. Unreal catch radius though. PSU used him as a h-back/receiver. Not unlike how we used Hernandez.

Even Hernandez wasn't terrible. Pretty poor inline, but halfway decent on the move. Better than most WRs, anyway.

Hernandez also improved markedly over time as a blocker. I tend to think those move guys are day 2 or day 3 picks, not day 1.

Yeah, they seem to go for the cones and shuttles on their slot guys but it doesn't matter at all in their outside guys. It's actually sort of impressive to me how bad an athlete Dobson and Mike Floyd were.
