looking at receivers right now. What do you guys think of ricky seals jones iut texas a&m? Hes 6'5 and 225 pounds. From what his bio says he should be running a 4.5. Ive gotta watch more tape though.

Can win jump balls, but he's got a weird, slow stride and plays too soft for his size, in my opinion. I just don't see a coordinated player. He's strange to scout. I just don't see the explosion required for a top end player.

Zamora is the Baylor guy who reminds me most of Gordon. Cannon is a smaller, deep threat type (5'11 185). He's pretty explosive though.

I really like his game. Posted about him and some gifs in the other thread I believe. He can work almost the whole field. Unfortunately he's a pos who beat his dog w/ a belt.

I love Henderson. He'll be ahead of Ross for me.

Mike Williams is Andre Johnson if he stays healthy and hits his potential.

It all depends on how he runs. If he is a 4.4 guy, then he will be the highest graded wr I have since aj green.

If he is a 4.5 or 4.6 guy then all bets are off.

Michigan Guys Amara Darboh and Jehu Chesson what the word on them? I notice that both love to go over the middle. I think Jehu Chesson is the more Explosive of the two I could be wrong though. Both are also willing Blockers a trait that's lauded by Patriot Coaches.

I liked Chesson going into the season, but came away more impressed with Darboh. He's not a speed guy, but he's reliable. Reminds me a bit of the good version of LeFell, when he regularly made contested catches and moved the chains. LeFell makes up for lack of straight line speed with good agility and physicality. They're roughly the same size, and I'll bet they have similar testing numbers (Darboh will probably have a better 40, but that's nearly meaningless).

There's some good blocking WRs in this draft. Chris Godwin is terrific at it. Shame he runs like a TE. He is a (not so) poor mans Mike Williams.

I think Chad Hansen is going to move up draft boards after the combine. He seems to be the best deep threat with great burst and run after the catch ability.

Great hands, jumping ability and body control. Reminds me of a thicker Lynn Swann.

I really liked him when I started watching him but he does look quite slow. He might be the best blocking WR I've seen and he's good at contested catches but he just lacks speed and explosion. I think he's fine for the Ravens, less good for us.

I liked JuJu Smith-Schuster when I watched him. Apparently he's going to be the 4th youngest prospect drafted since 1999. Quite the stat.

This is quite the draft for young players.

Schuster and McMillan are days apart.

Going to be a crazy amount drafted in the top 100 that won't turn 22 in their rookie season.

There were 5 last season. We might get that many in the first round this year.

#2 John Ross - His speed is going to be the main selling point on him but his quickness is the draw. He moves his feet fast and can make people miss in the open field after which his speed becomes dangerous. Mid first talent talent

#3 Cooper Kupp - He is projected to go in round 2 and I wonder why. He does everything you want as well as does it physically. He plays bigger than his size and is not small at 6'1. He is way quicker than you would think though. Low first round talent.

I'd take either one in a heartbeat....

I like Cooper Kupp more tho Ross is interesting due to his KR and slot ability.

That being said......my expectations for BB to draft either one are minimal...LOL

Does anyone have any opinion on Mack Hollins of UNC. 6'4", 220lbs and is expected to run in the 4.4s. But here's what intrigues me. He was a special teams captain in his freshman year and has been the ST captain all four years at UNC.

The tape I've watched suggests he's a bit of a deep threat only with his speed, but he does run some sharp cuts considering his size and although he can hands catch, tends to bucket catch a bit too much for my liking on deep balls. He's probably a day three guy only which is fine, I don't envisage us taking a WR before day 3 anyway, BUT, his special teams experience does interest me as a Pats pick.





Finally, I have a rough and ready way of judging arm length from photos. I reckon Hollins has 33"-34" arms. He ticks a lot of boxes just in terms of size and athleticism.

The reality of of our roster is, guys that are drafted late will have a very specific role, or be able to offer something significant on special teams.

The elephant in the room is that Slater can't possibly play that much longer, and while we have greats on special teams around him, we will need a gunner replacement probably fairly soon.

Great find, by the way. I try and look for guys that fit the special teams mould for later round picks. I found Onwualu to be the guy that I thought would check the right boxes, but this may even top that.
