Agree. We need quality depth sooner then later…like before the deadline.

I just don’t think it’s realistic to expect OL upfrade before the offseason. There just aren’t enough good OL players to expect availability for trade.

Agree. We need a RB1 backup soon if Jennings isn’t it.

I think it’s important to get a coverage-type ILB that can go sideline to sideline before the deadline.

Woodson is improving and I think Dugger played 100% of the snaps last game. I just feel a coverage ILB is more of the need then S.

I think both are needed. One question, I think it was OneBySea that suggested Mapu might be the coverage ILB we need. I don’t know but if that’s possible it shifts the priorities. It’s just hard to see Hawkins or Dugger as the solution next to Woodson at Safety. Dugger had to play a lot last game with Hawkins out.

I don’t think it’s realistic to expect any decent OL will be available for midseason trade. They’re too scarce.
If one were available there would then be the challenge of assimilating them into a stable unit that has been playing together well for a third of the season. Cohesion and consistency are a big deal for OL quality play, and swapping in a new player may mean taking a step back temporarily even if he’s an upgrade regarding pure talent. So I’m just not seeing an OL addition as realistic before the off season.

OTOH, if there's a guy the staff covets, I'm all in. I long ago gave up trying to out-guess the pros even at the level of 53 roster positions, never mind keep track of the 32x53 guys on rosters out there in the league.

In no particular order, just going from offense to defense:

Deadline needs - RB, LG, DE, Backup Outside CB, Backup Slot SB, FS.

Off-season needs - RB, C/G, DE, Outside CB, Slot CB, FS.

Draft needs - OT, TE, WR, DE, Outside CB, Slot CB, FS.
