Maybe it means he thinks Mac is better than Zappe or Kraft is forcing him to play Mac. I doubt it’s the latter. That's a non-answer given the stats and this season as a whole.

Spot on the money. If you put zappe in after this performance in the raiders game the damaged caused by that will end his Carreer in NE
We could sit here and nitpick every position, every coach, every personnel move, and more. Bottom line is, there’s only one person to blame for everything that’s taken place, and that’s Bill Belichick. It pains me to say it. I love everything he has done for this organization, but come on already. The personnel decisions he has made over the last few years. The coaching decisions. He seems lost. I’ve personally fallen prey to chalking it all up to in BB we trust, but this season has really eroded some of that. Hell, with all the cap space coming up, the plethora of draft picks….I just don’t have any hope that he is going to make the right decisions to make this team better. Henry and Smith and Agholor have been duds. Big Trent has been mediocre since re-signing. Slapping the franchise tag on Wynn. Letting JC walk for nothing. Not refilling the coaching staff, ****ing Mayo around, trading Mason for jack ****. I just don’t get it. Does anyone really think he’s gonna blow this whole thing up this offseason and aggressively do what needs to be done to bring this team back into contention?
NoThe problem about playing Zappe for the next 3 games is that he'll be so good we'll get offered multiple firsts by several NFL teams. Wouldn't we be better keeping the Zapp under wraps and let him explode all over the NFL in 2023?
If Bill would rather keep Zappe rather than happily accepting even a second round pick for him in a trade he should be immediately relieved of his duties as GM and head coach of the Patriots. The problem about playing Zappe for the next 3 games is that he'll be so good we'll get offered multiple firsts by several NFL teams. How can we be sure that Zappe isnt a whole better than just a backup? Not crapping on our draft (actually thought it turned out well) but could you imagine watson, Pickens, the Jones bros, strong, zappe, and k Harris in one haul?
Orthwein hired ParcelsUltimately, he’ll do what the Krafts tell him to do or leave. It’s their team, not his, and Bob Kraft has a pretty good record of selecting coaches (Parcells, Carroll, Belichick).
Spot on the money.
Look at the drama caused when Jones was out and the NE offense started to flow with Zappe. Maybe playing Zappe is no change or worse, but at least you know what you have at QB for 2023. Right now I'm drafting a QB high as possible in the next draft. BOB coming here and fixing Jones is hilarious. BOB has a temper like a stick of dynamite and and will go off on Jones.
Mac shooting his way out of town.I have a feeling Jones would like to be moved. I think he wants out of here no matter what happens. Even if they get a new coaching staff and he turns into a good or even great QB next year, I think he is out of New England the first chance he gets. If it is either him or Belichick in New England next year, I think he will welcome a trade.
Ok, my bad. But Kraft kept him until Parcells wanted to leave, which he did everywhere.Orthwein hired Parcels

All this team needs is steady QB play. Converting 3rd downs and hitting the key play here or there that winds up being the reason for the win.
BOB got to Bama after Jones left. Bill O'Brien (American football) - WikipediaBOB is a real OC who COACHED Jones. I think he would be just fine.
All this boiling over has to do with the coaches and playcalling being garbage
This is the guy fixing Jones huh?BOB is a real OC who COACHED Jones. I think he would be just fine.

BOB never coached Jones.BOB is a real OC who COACHED Jones

The current NE QBs arm is garbage. I have a bad feeling INT # 8 is coming vs the Bengals.
I would add two things, how long will we be using the term rebuild? It’s about to be year 4. At some point we have to acknowledge that it’s been a slow one. There is 100% an element of we have a spoiler fanbase and be middling and on the edge of playoffs and not an outright top tier contender the sky is falling. Rebuilding teams are usually struggling to get a few wins in the season.
Mac has puked on himself all season long. Most recently last Sunday.Because if he was he would be starting right now. Clearly the team thinks Mac has higher upside than zappe. There bears game showed his limitations as he puked on himself in the second half.
Chicago, remember. He's a real OC who would call real plays. Any blind mute can see that's why there is mutiny on the field. Guys don't trust the playcalling. I doubt we are having this conversation if Bill replaces McDaniel with a real OC.
But I get it. You have an agenda to spin in every thread. Mac bad! It's all his fault. Patricia and Bill have no faults here...playcalling is fine and Zappe is the future goat. He should just run the coaching staff back another year....with a new QB their true brilliance will shine....
In the final seconds of any NFL game the QB gets the ball everytime.Mac has puked on himself all season long. Most recently last Sunday.
